A/N: Here's a Kaichi for you! Story is almost based of the song Aoi Tori. I decided to share it here as well on as I feel so great upon writing this! Anyways, Enjoy! My very first Kaichi so please be nice to me ^^

Aichi was walking aimlessly, thoughts scattered then he put halt into his steps as he came across of a pet shop and something caught his attention... Birds.. No, to be specific a rare one, A Blue Bird.

"A blue bird.." He mumbled softly as he remembered the old myths and stories about it. As he stared at it through the window it brought his mind to his earlier musing. More precisely worries. He had dream, A bad dream where everyone is walking away from him. Leaving him alone, No matter how hard he tried to chase after them he couldn't near or reach them at all. In the end he was abandoned. Aichi knew there's more behind his dream. It's like a message and it's clearly a sign of 'Bad Omen'.

Aichi leaned at the thick front glass of the shop. His unease won't died down unless he was certain everything it's fine. He could vaguely hear the chirping of the blue bird like it's talking to him. He pulled back a little and meet it's eyes. Before Aichi could say a thing. Someone called behind him.

"Aichi? What are you doing here?"

That voice he wouldn't never forget it even if his eyes were closed nor they will be separated from a very long time. It's belongs to no other than Kai Toshiki.

Aichi removed his gaze at the blue bird and looked at Kai with a small smile. "Good morning, Kai-kun."

Kai nodded slightly to elaborate his own greeting and repeated. "So what are you doing here?" This is a very rare occasion, it's not like you always see a certain blue haired boy to be standing in front of pet shop with a thoughtful and serious expression in his face. And Kai can't helped to get curious what brings the boy in this particular place when his school supposedly at the other direction.

Instead of answering his question, Aichi thrown another question at him completely ignoring the first one. "..Tell me, Kai-kun. Do you know the saying or myths about Blue bird?"

Kai arched an eyebrow questioningly at him but knowing Aichi if he didn't want to answer, he won't answer. So he decided to entertained him but going along with him as the boy is acting quite strange. "No, mind telling me what is it?"

Aichi beamed at this much to the other relief. " Blue bird were rare types of birds so it was often said that a blue bird brings happiness..."

"Happiness?"

Aichi nodded. "The color blue doesn't only represent peace and freedom but also happiness. Real happiness is rare so is blue birds.. I guess that's the reason behind how the saying starts.. But I don't believe in those. Blue birds weren't to bring us any happiness at all."

"Aichi?"

Aichi shook his head and forced himself to smile. He didn't want to bother Kai anymore. "I have to go. Thank you for your time, Kai-kun. I'll see you at the Card Capital later." Aichi didn't wait for Kai's response as he walked away leaving a bewildered and worried Kai at his sullen and strange behavior.

"Kai!"

Kai eyebrow twitched with a mild irritation as he heard a very familiar yet annoying voice called out for him but he didn't stopped from walking.

"Oi,Kai! Wait up!" Miwa caught up and shot him a halfhearted glare. "That's rude."

Kai ignored him as he continue to ponder his earlier interaction with Aichi. Any one could easily say that's something is off at the boy, More precisely bothering him. But what is it?

"Kai.." Miwa called again as he noticed how engrossed the brunette with his thought. And when he is like that ther is only one reason he could think of.. Kai is worried and the only person who could put him in that state without noticing is Aichi. But if he wanted to get answers he must snapped Kai from his thoughts and luckily he did at last.

Kai snapped in his thoughts and looked slightly at Miwa with a questioning glance. "What?"

Miwa sighed. "What's bothering you? It's Aichi isn't it?"

His silence was enough to confirmed Miwa's suspicion.

"What about him?" Miwa pressed.

"He is acting strange.. Something is bothering him..."

Miwa cut Kai off. "And he didn't tell you and that's the reason why you are sulking." He finished.

Kai give him a nasty glare but didn't say anything which only made the latter chuckled.

"Shut up." Kai grumbled. Both annoyed and embarrassed at the moment.

"Don't worry, Aichi will be back in normal soon and if you want to cheer him up, you could challenge him into a card fight" Miwa suggested.

Kai nodded curtly. "I hope so"

As Aichi had said, he arrived at Card Capital later in that afternoon with his Cardfight Club members as it would be nice to do the matches there than in the club room.

Kai noticed Aichi still down and Miwa elbowed him as encouraged to approach the troubled boy.

"You're worried aren't you? What are you waitin' for? Go on, Approach and ask him already so you could helped him" Miwa encouraged.

"You don't need to tell me." Kai grumbled which only made the latter grinned ever more.

As Kai walked over at Aichi and his friends, he overheard about his strange dream or rather bad dream but didn't go any further to explain any specific details about it. So he decided to make his presence known as he spoke.

"What dream?"

Aichi let out a startled yelp and whirled to face Kai. "Oh,Kai-kun! It's just you" Aichi heaved a sigh of relief and smiled at him. "Oh, it's nothing to worry about. It wasn't important." His smile doesn't reach in his eyes. It's listless and filled with anxiety. It's quite obvious that he is worried about his dream.

Kai gritted his teeth with annoyance as the boy refused to tell the thing bothering him. Can't he see his concern for his sake?

His frustration on the boy were interrupted as one of Aichi's club members or friends whined about someone being late namely Ishida Naoki who Kai immediately recognized as the boy he once fought.

Then someone entered the shop and it's no other than...

"Naoki-kun!" Aichi greeted with a smile.

As he stepped inside the shop and when sub-manager seen him, he instantly hide at Misaki's arm as he sense something off the boy.

Naoki turned his attention at the person who had called him and asked. "Sendou Aichi... Are you strong?"

Aichi eyes widened a bit and his facial expression turned serious instantly as those words escaped in his friend's mouth.

"Of course, Sendou-kun is much stronger than you." Shingo countered.

"Shut up, I'm not talking to a nobody like you." Naoki sneered.

"What did-?!" But Shingo didn't managed to finish his sentence as Naoki completely went back his focus on Aichi while continuing at mocking him.

"What's the matter? Are you scared to lost or you just can't accept a simple challenge?"

Aichi was silent at the moment and bring out his Vanguard deck. "No, I'm not scared to lost at all and I'm going to fight you so stop acting like you know me. Because I won't turn away from any challenges or obstacles and at this moment you are that one."

"Great, Show me how strong you are and I'll show you that I'm far superior than yours now!"

"Enough of your nonsense. Let's get over this" Aichi was done shuffling his deck and put it on the Vanguard circle.

"Stand up!Vanguard" Both shouted in unison. And so the Cardfight began.

As Aichi suspected something was wrong with Naoki and he is determined to bring him back. He is not the only one who recognized something is different at the boy the others as well especially Kai as he know his fighting style which is very different than the last time he face him.

Naoki keep pushing Aichi in the corner with his new card 'Vowing Saber Dragon 'Reverse'. By removing almost all Aichi's rear guard. But in the end Aichi's determination bring Naoki back and defeated him.

Nobody noticed that Naoki's card disappeared from Kai's hands and that only add from what Kai's suspected situation as Naoki seemed doesn't have any idea what transpired between him and Aichi's fight and beforehand.

In the next day, Kai went to see Takuto for him to obtained the answers from his questions but it seems like he will get more what he came for there.

"You...What?"

"You wanted Sendou Aichi, right? Your concern for his well being.. If you accept and joined us, I give you my word we won't touch him. He's all yours to take and not only that by becoming us you will be far superior than any fighters.. What do you say Kai Toshiki? Don't you think I'm offering you a nice bargain?" The reverse Takuto smiled twistedly.

Kai clenched his fist that his knuckles turned into white. The offer was tempting but he knew what is right and certainly Aichi won't be happy if he find out that he joined the forces of evil that want to conquer the whole world and turned into something else. But.. If he accepted the offer then Aichi will be his and he far stronger than ever..He will be Aichi's equal once again..

"So, Kai Toshiki will join us?" Takuto prompted. He knew his answer and he can't wait to hear it come out from the brunette's lips.

"I-" Kai closed his eyes and took a deep breath and opened them after a moment to look straight at Takuto's eyes. "I,Kai Toshiki will accept your offer and become a Reverse fighter in exchanged for the truth of your words.."

Takuto restrained a full blown smirk to spread from his lips as he was right from his assumption and forced to look serious as he replied. "I,Head of Link Joker and assistant agent of Void. Give my word that no harm will be in Sendou Aichi's way, that he is all yours to take and give you the most suitable power to become the most strongest fighter.." Despite his words of vow, Takuto has other plans of Aichi not that he is willing to tell that to Kai Toshiki, For now, he will pretend he agreed to give what he wanted at the moment as they needed Link Joker to spread and Kai Toshiki is the proper person for the task and when it's done. He will get Sendou Aichi as Void desired him and has plans solely for the blue-haired boy.

Kai nodded in silent agreement and shake hands with Takuto to accept alliance from the invasion of Link Joker. When he removed his hand, A new deck appeared in palms and dark power surged in him.

...Now, With this power...You'll be truly mine.. Aichi...

A slow subtle yet dark smirk crossed in Kai's lips as he let the dark temptation and power engulped him. Not from a far.. A certain blue bird watching the events unfold before him..
