A drabble for the Moment of Insanity challenge on xoxLewrahxox's forum.
Moment of Insanity
Write a 100-word or a 500-word fic featuring a HP character losing it and showing temporary insanity. I know this seems to call for Bellatrix, but I'm sure there is room for other stuff!
"Legilimens."
His mind gives way.
Granger's hand hitting his cheek.
Her laugh echoes in his head. He feels mocked, defeated, trapped.
God, he hates it.
Greyback's twisted grin.
Her laugh.
Fear.
Anger.
Rebellion.
Blindly, he fights back.
His hands, hitting something hard, yet frail. Her laugh subsides in a surprised shriek, and his world finds a shape again.
He lost control.
For a moment he feels puzzled and panicked, wondering what he'll endure for assaulting her. But from the floor, she laughs, a high, insane sound and he hears himself joining in.
Strangely enough, his defences come up flawless afterwards.
