Natsu owns a pendant of a mysterious shape, he didn't truly know what it was supposed to be or what does it mean but it has been passed down in his family. He was curious when he crossed paths with a girl who had the same peculiar shape marked on her hand. AU. – Based on Fairy Tail Ending 15 –

Natsu was on his way to Gray's place. The stripper is throwing a house party later tonight. He called Natsu and the other boys to help him with the preparations. Natsu planned to walk all the way to his destination because it's not a great distance from his own house.
Natsu reached a certain pathway lined with Sakura trees. It was called the Path of Fate; it was renowned to be a place where destined lovers meet. He calls bullshit; he passes this path every time he goes to and from his house and he has not met a significant person here throughout his 7 years in Magnolia.
Natsu walked briskly while murmuring a song that's glued in his mind since last night.
"I'm looking up for my star girl, I guess I'm stuck in this mad world with things that I want to say. You're a million miles away…"
The path was devoid of people except for him and a girl with golden hair walking toward his direction. She was wearing a white strapless bodice that hugged her bust, a black pleated skirt clung to her shapely hips and white stockings went up to her legs and ended mid-thigh. She was a sight to behold.
"Whoa. She's beautiful." Natsu exclaimed in his thoughts
If he was like his friend Loke, he would have had no problem in approaching her and asking for her name and number. Alas, he was not like that. Natsu had never approached a girl before moreover this girl was breath-taking. She seemed nice but she also seemed untouchable. He settled in etching her appearance in his memory.
He was ready to pass by the pretty stranger and go about his business when he noticed her hand that clutched the strap of her shoulder bag. There was a familiar shape colored pink marked on it.
He turned around and called out. "Uh, hey!"
The blonde girl faced him and he saw her questioning caramel eyes. Melt me with your eyes my star girl rules the sky…
"Um, hi?" Natsu greeted nervously
The girl's lips quirked a little to a small smile. "Hello?"
"Uh, I'm curious about that mark on your hand." Natsu pointed
The girl's face registered surprise. She touched the mark with her left fingers as if to make sure that he was gesturing about it.
"W-what about it?" the girl asked
"Why do you have that?"
"My parents placed it on me. They said it's a charm."
"Do you know what is it exactly?"
"No. They vaguely answer whenever I ask about it."
"Same thing, huh?" Natsu huffed
"What do you mean? Have you seen this before?" the girl asked getting confused
"Do you want to come with me? Let's talk about it somewhere else, in a café or something." Natsu grinned. Wouldn't you like to come with me? Surfing the sun as it starts to rise…
"Hm, okay." The girl agreed
"I'm Natsu, by the way." He held his hand towards her
"I'm Lucy." She took his hand but to her surprise instead of Natsu shaking it in a form of greeting he grasped her hand firmly and dragged her
"Let's go." Natsu grinned
"Hey wait y-you can let go of my hand now Natsu." She stuttered and blushed profusely
Natsu feigned ignorance and her words fell on deaf ears. He led the way towards a café he knew. Girl I gotta tell you I'm feeling much better I can't get enough of you…
They were seated outside of the café. They preferred to breathe the fresh air instead of the stuffy air-conditioning inside. Lucy looked at the boy seated in front of her. She was listening to a story the boy was telling while she was secretly checking him out. He was quite tall and broad-shouldered. He had spiky pink hair that jutted out in every direction. His onyx eyes appeared to be pulling her soul and her heart strings. Dammit. (That escalated quickly Lucy hahaha)
Lucy could not believe that the fine-looking stranger she saw earlier was now talking animatedly in front of her. When she first saw him her heart-beat raced like crazy. She didn't understand herself at all. She did not believe in love at first sight but the scene earlier was just like straight from one of her romance novels.
When he grabbed her hand and did not let go until they reached the café, she was dancing like a cheerleader in her head. She blushed at the memory.
"Hey Lucy are you even listening?" Natsu scrunched his eyebrows together and scowled
"W-what? Yes!" Lucy abruptly answered
"Oh really? I asked if you weigh 300 pounds."
"What the hell kind of question is that! Of course not!" Lucy was displeased
"You answered yes before."
"I didn't hear your question clearly."
"Tch! Admit it you weren't listening!"
"I was!" Lucy denied vehemently
"So about your mark. Look I also have one." Natsu took out a necklace he was wearing hidden beneath his shirt
He showed her a pendant molded in the same shape as her mark.
"Where did you get that?" she asked
"It was also from my parents. They didn't explain as well."
"What do you think it is?"
"I think it's a bird or something. How about you?"
"I think it's a fairy."
"Oh you have the same opinion as Levy."
"Who's Levy?"
"She's a girl friend."
"Oh. I see you have a girlfriend." Lucy mumbled, disappointed that the boy who caught her attention was already taken
"She also has this mark. It's engraved in a pen she got from her parents."
"Looks like we're not the only ones with this mark after all." She muttered
I thought we had something special… Lucy thought glumly
"We aren't. All of my closest friends that I met here in Magnolia owns different items engraved with the same mark. It's a weird coincidence or something."
"Whoa. How many are they?"
"You'll see. They are throwing a party tonight. Come with me, okay?"
"Isn't your girlfriend coming with you?"
"Huh? Levy? Of course not. She's coming with Gajeel."
"What? What's a Gajeel?" Lucy was utterly confused
"Let's go. I'll show you around Magnolia some more till it gets dark then we'll head to the party."

I wrote this last year but I forgot to post it. Found it today misplaced in some random folder out of my gajeellion folders.
