Losing Deb
Once a strong pillar of support
Suddenly comes crashing down
You've nearly lost all your senses
Your body is weak and you can't stand on your own
Your mouth is suddenly dry like a desert
Because you've lost your ability of what to say
While holding your dead adoptive sister in your arms
You can't take your eyes off her you try to but you can't
No tears to be shed because you're to numb with shock
You can't hear anything except the sounds of your breath
To the machines keeping your sister alive to the raging storm outside
Knowing that you were the one to cause her to be in this predicament
Countless thoughts buzzing through your head
Constantly telling yourself over and over it's all your fault
But in the back of your mind you hear Debra say it's not
Picking up her body and dropping it into the sea
Now may Debra Morgan rest in peace and be free from this world
A world mixed with the good and the bad and everything in between
And now Dexter can finally let those tears he bottled up to break free
