"This is where I lived, I cared for animals, I ruled..." N explained to Kyouhei. He couldn't remember the last time someone had come inside the castle, since...
N shook his head, trying to get away from the flood of memories, of his face. Kyouhei was looking around the room, raising his eyebrow at the train in the basketball room. The room reminded him of a child's; disorganized, colorful, full of toys.
Dust had long since gathered around the small items, making them dirty and aged. N continued to watch and follow Kyouhei as he observed his room. He really did look like Touya: messy, brown hair, light brown eyes, about the same height, bright smile...
Before he knew what he was doing, N grabbed Kyouhei's arm, spinning him around, and pressed his lips against the young boy. And it felt so right, as if Touya was right in his arms, kissing his fears and problems away like he had before.
But then Kyouhei gasped and he realized: This wasn't Touya. This wasn't Touya and this was practically a stranger. Touya had long since left after defeating his father. N quickly pulled away and looked at the boy that was gaping back at him.
"I... I'm..." N spun around rapidly and hurried out the room, out of the castle, and into the forest. Yet again he had run away from his problems instead of facing them. He hadn't changed at all. No wonder Touya had left him.
Kyouhei left after getting over the shock and exploring the castle a bit more. He met up with Mei soon after to talk about his findings.
"So what did that weird kid want anyway?" She asked. She didn't like the way he had looked at Kyouhei when they had first met. Kyouhei slowed down a bit, feeling uncomfortable.
"Well, er, he showed me the castle where he used to live and that guy beat Ghetsis. He also kind of kissed me..." he mumbled the last sentence, hoping Mei didn't hear it. She whipped her head to look at him. "HE DID WHAT?!"
"It was an accident! He probably just caught in the moment or something," Kyouhei said flushing. Mei continued to fume, but dropped the subject. But Kyouhei hoped that he'd see N again, and maybe return the favor.
