A/N: so the first story in "Connections" is now up! It's a story that's based off a song. Hope you enjoy!

Kairi shook out her hair and laid back down on the warm rock. Looking around, she was on a tiny island that had one palm tree that produced coconut. The day was, she guessed, around 3ish. Sighing she turned on her back. She was the only siren she knew. As a siren, she could enchant any man to his grave, usually through song. Today had been unfruitful and boring. She turned on her side and slept. As she did, she felt her other side coming out.

Naminé yawned and stretched. She grabbed her shell comb that was laying beside her that Kairi had and brushed her hair. The comb was a pretty, pearlized pink. She also started humming a tune (Which was Dearly Beloved). Looking down at her tail, which was a teal, she wondered what it was like to have legs. She set the comb down and decided to get drawing material from the sea floor. She looked at the island she was at and slid into the water. The seafloor was beautiful. There was lots of colorful fish from angel fish and sea anemones to sharks and dolphins. The plants were a variety of colors out in the shallow depths. Sunlight reached the sea floor in the shallow area that she was in. Eyeing around for supplies, she found some rocks that looked kind of like a white chalk which was perfect for drawing. Seeing a dolphin eager to play tag, she set her stuff down by the coral reef and played with the dolphin in the warm water for awhile. When she was done, she went up to the island and grabbed her some leaves off of an elephant ear and sat down on the sand to draw a starfish amidst some sea weeds. Once finished, she smiled and swam around to the warm rock. It was becoming nighttime. The stars glittered in the night sky like diamonds studded in black satin. She looked up for a good hour until she heard someone talking. Looking to her right, she saw a light. The light showed a young man, teen by the looks of it, fiddling with something in the boat. Naminé smiled, 'finally someone foolish enough to be after dark'. She slid into the water and slowly swam over to his boat. Taking a breath, she got ready.

"Hello?" she asked, loud enough for him to hear.

"Who's there?" He asked.

"Down here." She replied, waving him over. He looked over; he had brown spiky hair and gorgeous blue eyes.

"Oh…Hi there. Who are you?" he asked.

"Naminé. You?" she asked, batting her eyes.

"Sora… so whatcha doing out here alone with no one around?" Sora questioned. Naminé wondered how to answer without slipping up.

"…I always come out here. It's peaceful, despite the waves." She replied dreamily.

"Oh. Well I'm looking for the mainland. Do you know which way?" he asked her. She thought where a good place to would be so she could have him.

"Ummm…I think that way." She pointed toward an island out east. Out that way had a deep trench where most of her prey slept on the sea floor.

"Thanks!" He turned to leave but Naminé started to sing. She sang of tropical beach days and of paradise. The boy turned and seemed enchanted with her. Backing away, she waited for him to get in the water.

"Let's go my dear." She whispered in his ear with a smile. He nodded and she flickered into Kairi. With a wink and grin, she changed back into Naminé.

"Welcome home Sora." She said as she took him under.
