Here's a short one-shot that I wrote for Beri fans. It's sort of an 'I'm sorry for all the times I didn't update' story, so enjoy and review if you have time! BTW, I'm not continuing it; I'm really busy with school and other stories, and three stories is a bit overwhelming.

Blame It on the Leaves

"Tori!" Mrs. Holly Vega sang form the kitchen. "Come here!"

After a sigh and loud thuds, a dark brown haired girl with chocolate brown eyes arrived in the kitchen. "Yes, mom?"

"There are leaves all over the lawn in the front and it's your turn to rake them. Your brother did it last month." Tori's mom said as she stirred something in a pot on the stove.

"Ok." With that, Tori went upstairs, put on her coat, gloves, and boots, and angrily marched out the door. She grabbed the rake from the little shed next to the house and began on the left side of the house.

"Ok, only half more of the yard. Not a big deal." Tori said to herself before she heard leaves being crumbled and feathers on her head. She took off her glove and felt her head. "Leaves?" She said again and turned around.

There stood Tori's good friend, Beck Oliver. His jet black hair and leather jacket matched perfectly while his blazing brown eyes and pink lips stood out. "Hi." He said with a huge, goofy grin.

"Hi? You just crumbled leaves in my hair and you're saying 'hi'?" She yelled at him with fake anger and accidently let a giggle escape her lips.

"Oh, so you do think it's funny?" He said with a nod of approval.

She gasped and turned around; picked up as many leaves she could in two hands, and launched them all at Beck. The dead, red and orange leaves covered his jacket and hair. One even got on his lips!

"You're going to pay for that." Beck stated and tackled her into the humongous pile of leaves behind her. They both fall into the leaves, laughing and rolling around. They both got up and when Beck turned to walk away, Tori shoved handfuls of leaves inside of his shirt. That was going to take a while to get out, just like the leaves in her hair.

"Payback's terrible isn't?" Tori said with a smile and walked towards her house, only to be pushed back into the leaves by Beck.

"I'll let you answer that." He said as he crumbled more leaves in her hair. After laughed so hard he was crying, he helped her up and picked the leaves from her hair. "Well, I'll be home if you need to be pushed into leaves again. See ya." He said with a smile and walked across the street to his own house.

"Tor! Dinner's- what happened out here?" Mrs. Vega said with a disapproving shake of her head. "It looks worst then it did before!"

Tori turned to look at her mother with a huge smile on her face. "I'm sorry, mom. I'll get right to it."

She nodded and went back into the house and Tori searched though the leaves, found the rake, and began on the right side of the house this time.
