Natsu raced into the guild hall. "Gray, Gray, they legalized same-sex marriage!"
Gray smiled at his hyperactive Dragon Slayer. "Is that so? Then…" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a tiny box. "…I guess we don't have to break the law anymore."
Natsu looked down at the ring sitting inside the box, and then up to Gray. "What? We weren't breaking any laws."
Gray glared at him. "Goddammit, Natsu, I'm trying to propose!"
"Okay, but I wasn't breaking anything this time. Erza is always accusing me of breaking things. I may break dishes, sometimes tables, once there was that fleet of ships but they totally had it coming…"
"Shut up! Sheesh, will you marry me or not?"
"Of course I will, stupid. But I wasn't breaking any…"
Gray shut him up with a kiss. "They need to legalize beating the stupidity out of you."
Natsu's grin beamed as he snickered, "I just wanted to hear you actually ask me."
"Idiot," he sighed, chuckling as he gazed at the man who was now his fiancé.
"Do you really think you can put up with me for the rest of your life?"
"I've managed to this far…somehow." Gray slipped the ring onto Natsu's finger. "Pretty sure that since I haven't killed you yet, we are good for a lifetime."
The ring gleamed rainbows in the sunlight as Gray and Natsu kissed again.
