Summary: The road to Chulu was never easy. They had their arguments, their tears, their separations, but in the end they were always meant to be together. Each ch. shows what almost tore them apart and what keeps them together.
Rated: T just in case
Genre: Romance, Hurt/Comfort, and HUMOR. Yes, that's right, there will be humor. Not as much as the other two genres though
Info: Chapters don't go in chronological order by time; they may have some connecting features, but usually can stand alone and strive to reach the same point in the end.
I love Chulu. I mean, Spirk is awesome, but Chulu is absolutely adorable. Please read and review!
Chekov slammed his phone down hard, not even caring when he heard the strong metal crack. He didn't care about the damn phone. He didn't care about anything right now.
He had just gotten a call from his boyfriend of two years. Feliks had finally graduated from Starfleet Academy, though he joined two years before Chekov. He was 22 years old now, and he had just been assigned to a different ship than Chekov. It wasn't too surprising, really; Chekov knew that Feliks wasn't quite Enterprise material. Working on different ships would make it that much harder for the two to see each other, but Chekov wanted to make it work.
Feliks didn't.
He'd made up some ridiculous excuse about how Chekov was too young to know the meaning of love, and therefore they shouldn't be together because Chekov was still trying to figure out what he wanted in life. The teen had yelled for a good ten minutes about how Feliks had no right to blame their break-up on him. He needed to man up and admit that he just didn't want to be with him anymore.
Feliks ended the conversation with the expected "I met someone else, sorry" and Chekov told him to go yebat' sebya, which he said so politely that it almost sounded like he were wishing the man a happy and prosperous life.
Chekov pulled his knees up to his chest, wrapping his skinny arms around them, and cried. He cried because he wasted two years with a man who now deemed him "too young" to know what he wanted. He cried because he shaped his entire life around that of Feliks', and now it all came crashing down. He cried because he still had his picture under his pillow, and part of him didn't want to get rid of it. He cried because he was alone, and he had never been more aware of it than he was right now.
"Pasha?" Chekov peeks up from his knees and saw a very blurry Hikaru approaching him. No, Hikaru wasn't blurry, he just had too many tears in his eyes to see correctly. He wiped furiously at the tears and tried to smile, but it felt so wrong.
Hikaru sat next to him on his bed and wrapped his strong arms around the boy. Pavel placed his head in the curve between Sulu's shoulder and neck and couldn't stop the tears from trickling down his red cheeks.
"I heard what happened. I'm so sorry." Chekov buried his head further and held onto Sulu like a life-line.
"Hey, if it makes you feel any better, I'll never leave you."
For some reason, this instantly brightened Pavel's day.
Let me know what you thought, and if you'd like me to continue! Thanks for reading!
