How could you possibly understand?
The solace, the silence, the cold evil shadows
Hiding in my heart.
The horizontal door closes…
Welcome to my nirvana I say to the darkness,
A grim smile cracks open my face as a single
Tear of blood rolls down my cheek
Leaving a trail of shimmering despair.
The sound of it hitting the floor
Of my dark comfort echoes in my head
For what seems an eternity,
As the pictures of her fill my mind…
Together their voices whisper. "Forever" they say
Holding hand in hand.
The pain is enough to send my heart through my chest,
And I wish it would.
But I hold it inside without an expression.
Then it comes…
Her screams. His laugh.
Her beautiful body falls unto me
But slides through my grasp,
And I too fall, but onto me knees.
A darkened reflection looks painfully back at me,
Too long coats standing behind me.
One black and one white, and together they say " forever."
The horizontal door opens and the shimmering moon glows on my pale blue skin.
"Darkness has come." I say with a smile and a shadow over my face.
And once again the horizontal door closes…
