I haven't played the game (probably never will), but with the new addition I had the idea to write this featuring the Country of Spades. Might be a bit OOC, feel free to speak up if you have some tips. This story will have a male OC, I needed a new roleholder other than Alice, so... Haha, 1st chapter so wish me luck. Enjoy and no hate please. :-

JUST A SHORT PROLOGUE:
Inside the dreary, aging Tower of Spades stood 2 figures. Scraps of paper with illegible scrawls and glass jars of different sizes, filled with powders of an assortment of colors cluttered the small room.
The larger of the two figures sat on a plain stool, sifting through a pile of paper, seemingly unknowing to his companion's presence. His appearance was surely suspicious enough: a man clothed in a black cloak, his pale face barely noticeable along with a few tufts of red locks protruding from under his hood.
A cigarette clenched precariously in his mouth, he managed to mutter the contents of the paper quietly to himself. Suddenly he looked up to his companion, "all the herb shipments seem to be in order...".
Nodding at the man, the young woman sighed uneasily. "This may be the last", she fretted, "I can only guess what soil conditions Heartland will have."
"Yet I've hear you every other minute spouting your mother's tales of rows and rows of rose bushes? Don't worry about such trivial things, you know full well you'll be able to work under such conditions."
"Yes...of course."
Still unsettled by the girl's abnormally melancholy state, he stood to gently grasp her shoulder, "I know you better than this...what's bothering you, it's about your father isn't it?".
Slightly eased by the man's kind gesture she admitted this. "Yes...it's just. It's been so long...15 years".
Meanwhile in the Country of Hearts, an oddly clothed man stood staring wistfully into the sky. "It's been too long, my dear child."
REVIEW AND THE SUCH. Please and thank you.
