AN: A short Sonic/Shadow poem that I made that I just keep thinking is riddled with errors. Although there's nothing that explicit in this poem, if Sonic/Shadow "grinds your gears" then I don't recommend reading this.
The stars
Shine so brightly
Look as they burn so fiercely in the sky
Your eyes burn too
The pain and memories only feeding the flames
My blood only feeding your rage
You tell me
That there's nothing left
I tell you
That there's only so much more
"I'm a monster, only bringing misery"
"I'm the blood-thirsty beast of yore"
And I can only laugh and say, "No you're not!"
I've seen who you are
An angel with the devil's mask
But your wings have been torn, the naysayers
Only found truth in the façade; they wanted you to rot
But I said no
And I will take the hot stars
And stitch them to your wings
And they will shine again
The night embroidered on you, the will see
As your own shadow races with me
We will take to the sky, and we will hear
The morning birds ring
And despite Icarus' fate
We will fly despite the sun's glaring rays
And the gods will see us
But they will show us the way
To what the humans call these skies, heaven
But being with you
Is very much the same
My heart is in bliss
When I see your face
You tell me
That I have to hate you
I tell you
That I loved you
And I was true to what I said
As I kissed you
