Welcome back loyal readers of Days Past. We gather now to 're'-christen the second book of the Days Past series: Younger Days.
As of this writing it's been about two and a half years since I posted the first two chapters of this book and then went silent after I turned all of my focus on rewriting The Beginning of Days. But the wait is finally over and I'm super excited to get back into it!
Younger Days will carry a more youthful tone than book one, so expect it to have a more broken up, character driven story, rather than a major overarching plot to drive it. There will also be a stronger focus on interpersonal relationships… basically romance.
If your not into the that sort of thing though, don't worry, there will still be plenty of action and humor of equal parts both fun and brutal.
Reviews:
Now, if you've read the description, you might be wondering what I meant about the Reviews. Since this is the second book in the series, I fully expect anyone reading it to have already read the first book. If not, then you're just asking for spoilers, so I can't really feel bad anymore.
As such, I don't have to worry about potential new readers looking through the Reviews section of 'this' book while trying to decide whether to start the series or not. This means that I am officially sanctioning any and all blatant spoiling in all chapter-relative Reviews.
So, write your reaction to a chapter as your having it, rant and rave about specific parts, and get as detailed as you want. No need to hold back. I only ask that spoilers be limited to reviews under the chapters in which they happened or one that takes place after.
If at any point you want to read through Reviews without seeing spoilers, do this: go to the Reviews page (try not to read the first one), find the drop down menu in the upper right-hand corner, and select the chapter you wish to limit Reviews to. This way, you won't see spoilers that happen ahead of where you're reading.
Communication:
I've also created a forum on FanFiction called Days Past - Discussion. It's currently empty, I have no solid idea of how I should use it, and I don't even feel confident anyone would want to. But, it's not like it's hurting anyone by being there, so if you feel like discussing something publicly about the book with either me or other fans of it, then it's available.
Keep in mind though, that I still like getting Private Messages. I respond to every Private Message I get and pretty much all of the reviews as well. Whichever your preference is.
Commission:
As of this writing, I've recently commissioned an amazing artist on Deviant Art who specializes in Ratchet and Clank fan-art to draw one of my characters. A cropped version of this image is even being used as the title image for Younger Days.

Updates:
It's currently almost midnight where I live on December 24th. My intention was to start releasing new chapters after all this time as something like a Christmas present to my fans. Especially to those who have waited literally years for a third chapter.
After today, I will be going back to a one-chapter-a-week schedule, starting Saturday, January 5th and every subsequent Saturday after that until the first arc is completed.
