Myka's the One

The idea for this story came to me and begged to be written. It's kind of a sibling story to the Claudia story. Pete is missing Myka and realizes that she is the one for him. This is going to be Pete's POV.

I own nothing an no one from Warehouse 13, I also don't have any artifacts so don't come looking for any here.

Pete sat on his bed in his room, staring at the TV that Myka had gotten for him. He was still upset about Kelly breaking up with him and moving away, but he was even more upset about Myka's quitting and leaving him behind at the warehouse. That had to mean something, didn't it?

If he cared more about Myka's leaving than he did about Kelly, it meant that he didn't really love Kelly. Did that mean that he loved Myka? Well yeah, he knew that he loved Myka, but was he in love with her? HE thought about what his life would be like without Kelly in it and he could see himself getting over her and moving on.

Next he thought of his life without Myka. He couldn't see himself here without her in his life. He needed Myka here, to see her everyday and talk with her everyday. It had to mean that she was the one. She was the woman he loved and needed to be with. She was his soul mate.

He knew what he had to do. He had to go after her and bring her back. He'd find her and tell her that if she didn't come back, he wasn't coming back either. He couldn't be here working at the warehouse without her.

Pete got up off his bed and threw a few things into a duffel bag. He called Claudia and got her voice mail. He left her a message saying that he was going to find Myka and bring her home. He told her to call his cell phone if she hears from Myka.

Pete was going to bring Myka home because that's what the warehouse was to them all. It was their home and they were family. He walked out of his room and down the stairs. He looked for Leena but couldn't find her, so he wrote her a quick note.

'Leena,

Went to go find Myka and bring her home. Tell Artie we'll be back soon.

Pete'

He placed the note where she'd easily find it and walked out the door. He'd bring Myka back or not come back himself. This was not home to him without her. He got into his car and headed for Washington DC and Myka.
