Listen folks this is the Dreamer himself talking, I do not own Naruto, if I did then it wouldn't concentrate on said blonde. I would also be so loaded that it wouldn't be funny.

This story is partly to vent my annoyance at certain characters, including, but not limited to: Sasuke, Sakura, Neji, and the green spandex twins. I may or may not include a lemon chapter. This is my first story that I actually plan on going through more than a one-shot. Also, this AU splits at the chuunin exams in the idea that Sarutobi succeeded in fully sealing Orochimaru. This is partly because I hate the snakey bastard, the other reason… you will see.

Shino woke up to his hive being agitated. His hive of kikachu had, evidently, decided that the queen that he had had for most of his life was too old and had proceeded to devour her. This, of course, meant that he would have to go through the "Royal" chamber insect my insect and choose a new queen that the hive accepted.

Walking through the compound he found his father weeding the garden in a lesser house. He approached and sent one of his scouts to warn his father that he was there. The dark-haired man stood and spoke.

"So it finally happened huh?" his father asked cheerfully, "honestly it's about damn time that your hive decided you were ready."

"Meaning?" inquired the normally silent genin.

"Meaning that you're ready for multiple hives for one, for two, that your first hive is going to die off soon, and for three that they have decided what your specialty should be based on their observations." he explained, suddenly switching to a much more somber tone, "son it's going to hurt like hell when they leave to make room for the new hive. They'll be making… adjustments, for lack of a better term, to your body."

"But that'll cause them to-"

"Actually they don't burn to death, in doing those adjustments they will break down and basically dissolve into your chakra coils, this not only gives you the chakra to control the next hive better, but it will also, depending on your specialty, give you specific abilities."

"…Very well, let us proceed" the young man said, resigning himself to this.

To say that the chamber was large would be comparable to saying that the Hyuuga prodigy was smug and arrogant. The cave-like room was hot, moist, and at the same time comfortable. His father led him into the middle of the room where there was a large space with a table in the center.

"Lay on the table son your bugs will know what to do" his father stated quietly, looking fairly distant, "Hopefully they will find what you need within a couple of days. If not then we will have to inform the Hokage that you are undergoing a harsh training regimen"

As his father left, Shino looked at the area around him. The entire cave was covered in differently colored pupae. His insects left his body and clothes ad he heard someone sealing the door. The chakra burst shortly thereafter signified that it was time. He lay on the table, felt a sharp stinging in the back of his neck, and the world dissolved into pain and color…

Hey me again, I do want/crave reviews, but if your review is to yell at me for the bashing of certain characters, then my only advice is to shut the fuck up and read something else. Props to all my faves for helping me decide on which character to be centric towards in this universe. Other universes will come much later as I get better at writing. No guarantees on update times either people, I'm only human, and a high schooler at that. BTW! Read the fanfic fullmetal shinobi for a basic overview on how I feel in general and a pretty good definition of a douchebag.
