CHAPTER ONE
Albus Dumbledore was furious. Those Muggles had ruined his sister Arianna. He would have done something himself had not his father acted first. As it was, his father tortured them and was sent to Azkaban for it. However, after that day, he had been planning to have Muggles be in service to wizards.
After some years, he met Gellert Grindelwald, the nephew of the famous Bathilda Bagshot. Growing tired of looking over his sister, he had Aberforth, who wasn't as gifted as himself, for that after all, he spent more and more time with Grindelwald. It soon became apparent that, like himself, Grindelwald wanted to have Wizards rule over Muggles. Dumbledore came up with the slogan "The Greater Good" for their new world order.
However, as luck would have it, Aberforth eventually found out of their plans. A duel ensued and Arianna was killed in the chaos. Dumbledore wanted to join his friend Gellert, but he knew he'd be exposed as his brother knew. Thus, he stayed to attend Arianna's funeral.
Though he had great magical talent, Dumbledore intentionally left Grindelwald alone, hoping that he would succeed in subduing the Muggles. He hoped to come back to Grindlewald once he was powerful enough.
However, he eventually caught word that Grindelwald was weakening. Not greatly, but just enough to raise his fear. If Grindlewald was caught, he might spill the beans. He had to act, for the greater good.
Dumbledore got into a long duel with Grindelwald. Eventually, he gained the upper hand. To silence Grindlewald from being able to spill the beans, he aimed a killing hex at him, and claimed it was in self-defense. This delayed the scheme Dumbledore had of rulling the world, but did not end it. For another Dark Lord would soon arise. However, he soon realized that this one would not want to share the spotlight with him. He had to be eliminated. There could only be one true Dark Lord, and he had determined that it would be him.
