The Fall Has Finally Come

The season premier left a few questions for me, so I thought I'd use my imagination and answer them myself. Beckett is reading Castle's new book and wondering what was going on between them. This is Beckett's POV and might get a sequel. I just have to wait to see what happens tonight on Castle. LOL

I don't own the characters or the show, but if I owned Castle...I'd be a happy woman and my husband would be so mad at me. LOL

Kate Beckett laid in her bed, reading Castle's new book. It was a good book and she couldn't put it down. It had been sitting on her desk whens he went to grab her stuff. There had been one on Esposito and Ryan's desks too. Her's had been signed by Castle and she'd memorized the message he'd written.

It was a long Summer without you. Sorry I didn't call you. I didn't want to bug you and the boyfriend. I'm sorry and I really did miss you. I'm so glad that Fall is finally here.

She'd bet that the guys didn't have this written in their book. But what did it really mean? Did he love her? Could there be something between them? She just wasn't sure. She did like Castle and she almost told him so before he'd left for the Hamptons. But then his ex wife showed up and she didn't tell him.

She was more confused now then she'd been then. She wished at times like this that her mother was still around. She couldn't talk about this with her dad, or even Captain Montgomery. There was no way she'd talk about this with Esposito or Ryan either. She wasn't sure that she could talk to Martha and Alexis, since they were related to Castle.

She knew that she definitely couldn't talk to Castle about this. But she needed to know what was going on with her and Castle. She might just have to break down and go see Martha anyway. She was his mother after all and knew him better than anyone else.

She yawned and closed the book, placing it on her bedside table. She'd call Martha tomorrow and invite her to lunch. She'd have to swear her to secrecy though. The last thing she needed was for Castle to get wind of this. She closed her eyes and fell asleep, dreaming about a possible future with Richard castle.
