There will be a vote on whether this will be a long piece of work, or short, but nonetheless, I will be doing it, no exceptions. It may not be the best, but it definitely won't be the worse. Chapter 1
"Ugh… I need to train harder…" said Pearl, panting and gasping for air. Pearl had just finished training… if that's what you'd call it. Her times were abysmal, and her technique was sloppy. This wasn't like her. She was perfect nearly every time. She didn't know what was going on. Maybe her mind was elsewhere. Maybe she was thinking about Steven, if he was safe. Or if Amethyst made a mess of the house, yet. Or if Garnet… Garnet… Ahhhhh. Her chest compressing thinking of her stoic leaders face, her kind yet powerful demeanor, her beautiful voice. It made her mouth water, thinking about her. 'No… this is wrong. She is our leader. I have to stay professional. I need to train.' She thought. All of a sudden, she heard footsteps. She turns around. The guardian herself. Pearls heart could melt. It looked like they were alone. No Amethyst, no Steven, just Garnet and Pearl.
"What are you doing here?!" Pearl exclaimed, excitement and surprise in her tone.
"I'm just watching you train. Is something wrong?" Garnet says, worried of such surprise.
"No… you're fine." A slight blush across her face. She had to do this. Perfectly. "Start training! Max level!" She commands and three Holo-Pearls came out of her gem, weapons in hand.
"Prepare to die!" Holo-Pearl states in a monotone like fashion.
"That's what you think!" She says as she rushes the first one. Already getting ready to block, she puts her spear in a diagonal fashion. However, it didn't expect for her to go for a head/leg split kick as Pearl put another spear under it, impaling it, causing the Holo-Pearl to poof. The other two rush her, but Pearl notices on is a little farther up front than the other. As both of them jump, she picks the less dominant one, grabs her, and uses it as a human shield, the other Holo-Pearl stabbing the human shield, causing the 'human shield' to burst. Pearl then notices the Holo-Pearls arms are still outstretched, so she takes advantage, doing a spin attack, slicing its arms off. Unable to fight, it dissipates. Pearl had barely made a sweat, when just a few minutes ago, she couldn't even win. She looked to the 'bleachers' and saw Garnets mouth agape, but slowly closing to a smile, which left Pearl even more breathless than all of her training combined. To her surprise, Garnet rushed over to her, giving her a running bear-hug.
"You were awesome!" She said, hardly letting Pearl breathe. Pearl was fine with this. She liked Garnet… a lot. It was almost stifling. However, just like this bear-hug, she couldn't let her know that it almost hurt her.
