A/N: Big shout out and much love to Greenpaw and RicardianScholar Clark-Weasley for the encouragement and idea bouncing for with this one. Please do check out their fanfics when you have the spare time. They're brilliant writers, much better then me.
Marc sat on his bed, his back leaning into the head rest as he wrote up notes for a comic book idea he was going to pitch to Nathaniel.
It was partly based on them but also partly fantasy, Marc wanted to do something LGTBQ related and Nathaniel who to Marc's delight was openly bi, was doing his best to encourage him.
Marc blushed remembering their first kiss, Nathaniel's face had gone redder then his hair. Then there was the kissing in the photo booth, the memory making Marc blush as he glanced at the strip of photos hanging from wall in front of his desk.
It was an amazing first date, and he never wanted to forget it, hence why he had it above there, his work space, alongside all of his other favourite memories, like the guitar pick from a former crush.
He shook his head, trying to forget how that confession went down, forcing himself to forget the embarrassment and concentrate back on his task. After a few minutes he was getting into more character history notes, when his phone went off, he quickly grabbed it hoping it was a text from Nathaniel but it wasn't.
It was a Youtube notification, Marc had hit the little bell icon for a couple of channels, and he groaned when he spotted who it was.
''Great Jean's probably ranting again …'' He mumbled as he stared at the video title.
''Five Nights at Ladybugs'' he read aloud to himself. ''Dear God Jean I dread to think …'' he mumbled as he scrolled through Jean's other videos.
Ever since his break up with Jukela he had changed and not for the better. Now granted Jukela openly admitted she only dated him to make Rose jealous, she admitted she was wrong.
HOWEVER, Jean took it hard, VERY hard. Marc pouted thinking how happy Jean looked when he was dating Jukela, he was always bringing flowers to her when she looked down and was always carrying her bag after school when they walked home.
That's ultimately why Jukela broke up with him, Jean was a nice guy, great boyfriend material, the problem was Jukela didn't like him that way, she thought he deserved a girl who would love him back, who'd loved the warmth and joy he could bring them.
Of course, thanks to Lila and oddly enough Kim, it all came out, Jukela had tried to be subtle, tried her best to let him down gently and for a minute Jean seemed to believe that. Then those two opened their mouths ….
How on Earth her own class besides Marinette couldn't see how vain and vindictive Lila was, was beyond Marc's understanding.
''Has to be an akuma …'' He mumbled as he continued to scroll through the list of videos, some with titles such as 'Why Flexing is a SIN!' to 'Chat Noir! The REAL hero of Paris!' and the one that made people hate him, 'Adrien Agreste; Most Dense mother&^%$er on the planet!'.
Before he dated Jukela, Jean was always helpful, cheerful, and never had bad word to say about anyone.
But as Kim laughed at him, something in Jean changed in that instant whilst he was storming off, Jean didn't hesitate to punch him square in the gut, causing him to fall to the ground.
The detention he received just made him madder, and madder until the art class teacher suggested venting his anger into something more creative.
Great idea except Jean then went to making so-called Youtube commentary videos on current trends, the newest controversy and basically vent about whatever annoyed him, which mostly consisted of Adrien Agreste.
Marc's thoughts were interrupted as he heard Jean's voice coming from his phone. He shook himself out of his dazed and realised he had accidently pressed on a recommended video.
''-nd the real problem I have with school at the minute folks …'' Jean said as he stood in his room in front of a camera, wearing a Chat Noir T-shirt, alongside a green pair of sunglasses on his head.
''O boy here it comes …'' Marc mumbled as he yawned but then opened his eyes widely when he heard Jean say ''Is how so many events seem to get cancelled in favor for what I like to call 'the rich kids' events!''
Darn it, he had actually made a valid point. AGAIN.
''What's that? We're having a basketball tournament? O wait no, it's been cancelled because Gabriel Agreste wants to hold ANOTHER fashion talent search at our school. Well I'm sure people will cheer up at the video game tournament!'' Jean said in a comical way before placing both his hands at the side of his face, pretending to look shock.
''What's that? The event was cancelled due lack of promotion you say? Golly, maybe you should have promoted that INSTEAD of spending the money on promoting the fencing tournament that only SIX people turned up too! And not one of them was the winner's dad!'' Jean proclaimed as his voice start off light and comical and gradually got louder and more annoyed with each passing word.
''No offense to my two class mates in the fencing class, but in my opinion, they are better fencers then young XY!'' Jean quickly added, Marc rolled his eyes at the joke.
''Ha, ha, ha!'' Jean laughed sarcastically. ''It's funny because both Adrien and XY are blonde …'' He said in a silly voice as Marc just shook his head. ''And he wonders why he got a community strike?'' He mumbled.
''And don't get me started on that wannabe porn star Chloe Bourgeois getting the Beauty and The Beast stage play half the school was working on cancelled because she wasn't casted as Beauty.'' He added as Marc couldn't help but nod, the biggest complaint he had about that was the casting of Beauty and the Beast being perfect! And now all that hard work had been flushed down the drain.
''Hand on my heart!'' Jean started as he placed a hand over his heart. ''Ivan and Mylene were perfect for those roles.''
