Draco glared distastefully at the fluffy pink mass piled on the polished wood of his kitchen table, two long ears, accented with slashes of white, poking out of the top. He nudged a paw out of the way to make place for his morning coffee.
"What the hell is that?" He almost hissed at the brunette perched on a dark stoned counter top as he took his usual seat at the table. Said brunette was sipping, unconcerned about the pile of fluff, from a lurid green mug emblazoned in dark green cursive with the words 'Slytherin's Sexiest Bitch '20', a present received from her fellow classmates(*cough*Lysander*cough*) upon graduation almost nine years prior. It was truly Lily Luna Potter's pride and joy, and nothing Draco did could convince her to throw it out and use one of the more sedate mugs that lay waiting in the cabinets.
"That, is my costume." Lily took a sip of steaming black liquid as the aristocratic, half naked man before her raised a single white-blonde eyebrow in her direction. "It's my turn to play Easter Bunny for the various nieces, nephews and cousins," She explained. "James and Fred bullied me into it," she sighed as she poked at the mass with a fuzzy slipped foot.
"And you let them?" Draco was curious as to this fact, considering he knew Lily wasn't the easiest person to force into doing something. It came from personal knowledge. And, of course, he knew she would never just give in to the idiotic red heads she called relatives. The mix of Potter and Weasley genes made her an extremely stubborn little thing, with enough attitude to make you regret even suggesting something she didn't like. Lily shrugged her shoulder noncommittally, the unbuttoned collar of the shirt she had pilfered off of Draco at some point in the last few months sliding down a pale yet still lightly freckled shoulder.
"I thought it would be fun. Gives me an excuse to play around with the little ones. I don't see them enough." She slid off of the bench and rinsed the mug out in the sink, back to Draco, who understood what was left unsaid. It was their relationship that was keeping her from her family; while most of them were accepting enough, they just weren't comfortable being around him, and Lily didn't like 'leaving him out' of her life.
"And you have to dress up in that ridiculous thing just to see them? I mean, it's pink. What kind of rabbit is pink?" Lily laughed softly and shook her head at him in amusement.
"It's not just any rabbit, Dragon, I'm the Easter Bunny." Her chin tilted up in an exaggerated motion as she stared at him with pride. "And as said Easter Bunny it is my job to hop around like a fool and hide a bazillion chocolate eggs from a group of excited children." She grinned a silly little grin at him as she hopped exaggeratedly across to where he was sitting. Draco just rolled his eyes at her as he sipped his own coffee.
"Whatever makes you happy. Just as long as I don't have to dress up." Draco gave the petite brunette a pointed look, causing her to pout exaggeratedly at him, reaching out a slim-fingered hand to tug at a lock of silvery-blonde hair.
"But, Dragon, you would have looked gorgeous as a spring chicken." Draco rolled his eyes and reached up to knock her hand away.
"Don't push it, Potter." Lily laughed again and snatched up the pile of pink, heading towards the door intent on reaching the bathroom. "And you'd better save some of those eggs for me."
"Ha. Only if you can find them before the six year olds do. And I'd say they have a better chance than you."
