The game that Akio has created has now changed into place without escape. Utena didn't know what Akio wanted or what he was trying to do but she just has to get out and not look back.

After returning to the now occupied room they have moved back into, Utena tried to regain herself and try to think of who could next on Akio's puzzle. As Utena paced the floor, it hit her. "I don't think there is a special order to the puzzle Anthy." said Utena, just a little frustrated. She continued " I think he is just picking them randomly and we have to pick which one, but the twist is that if you don't pick the right one...they switch." Anthy thought about that for a little bit and agreed. "We could try that..." she said in a faint voice while looking away.

" what's wrong, Anthy?"

" I still haven't gotten all my memory of you back."

" don't worry...you'll get it back." Utena said while sitting next to Anthy on the bed.

" But what if I never get it back?"

" You shouldn't think like that, Anthy."

" it's just..." Anthy said while looking away again.

"What is it?" Utena said curiously

"Well...it's nothing...I'm going to bed I'm tired." Anthy said while laying down and getting under the covers.

"Well...Ok." Utena said disappointed

Utena got up and turned off the light and got in bed next to Anthy. Anthy nudged away a little. Utena wanted to feel as close to Anthy as she used to. She wants Anthy to know that she can open up to her and say what is bothering her. Utena was up half the night with these questions swirling in her mind. Utena finally fell asleep and had a dream of them dancing on water, roses, and stars.

She woke up to a bright room with open drapes. She yawned and looked around. There was a note on Anthy's pillow.

Dear Utena,

Went down to breakfast. I didn't want to wake you.

Don't wait for me, I left early. Don't worry,

I can make breakfast.

Anthy

Utena was hoping they could go to school together. "I guess she was in a hurry." Utena got up and got dressed. She grabbed her bag and headed downstairs were she found a plate of food on the table. She sat down to eat but discovered she was going to be late. She Grabbed a piece of toast and ran out the door. Utena saw Anthy not to far up the street. She yelled her name but nothing came out on the count of the piece of toast jammed in her mouth. She quickly swallowed it and yelled again. Anthy looked back but continued walking. Utena started to run to catch up with her, yet to discover Anthy starting to run also. Utena ran even faster, Anthy threw down her bag she was carrying and started running as fast as she could. Utena did the same. As they dodged around everyone and almost knocking people down, Utena fallowed Anthy to a shaddy side of a wall. Anthy started to slow down. Utena ran over to her, finally catching up. Utena grabbed Anthy's arm and held her on the wall.

"What are you doing!" Utena said while catching her breath

"Let go of me!" Anthy tried to get away but was too weak

"If there is something wrong with you, then you need to tell me."

"It's nothing?" Anthy screamed and looking away.

"Ant-" Anthy cut her off

"I THINK YOU'R LYING!" she yelled and looked down to the ground and started to cry.

"Wha-what? Lying...lying about what?" Utena was confused what was happening in Anthy's mind.

"All that you say...me knowing you, the puzzle that Akio put together, ALL OF IT!"

Anthy finally got free because Utena's grip was getting loose. Utena couldn't believe it. The only one in this new world that she could trust and she was gone. Anthy was walking away fast while holding her arm. Utena guesses that was where she hurt her. "I don't know what to do." she said under her breath.
