This is the divorced lesbian mommies prompt; I know that it's not truly AU, but I do hope that you guys liked it. This is also a one-shot, but if someone wants to keep it going PM me, I would totally love to be able to see how this story could end, and it could be more than one person, just saying;)
Sorry it came so late:\
Mistakes are mine
I own nothing except for my idea in how to write it.
Please review

I Can't
"I'll see you later, kid." Said Emma as she saw her son, Henry, walk into the big white mansion, his head hanging in disappointment and sadness. She hated this part, she always did and she always will, but there wasn't anything she could do, at least not yet. She remembers how hard she tried, how hard she'd tried to show Regina that she was telling the truth, that she never cheated on her, but the doubt in the chocolate eyes always remained, always distant and cold. She tried so hard before and she's still trying after the divorce, but it was hard, nothing's ever easy. So, yeah, she hated it; every weekend she had to stare at the back of her son's retreating figure, every weekend she stared longingly at the brunette woman who stood just outside the door, every weekend her heart broke just a little bit more, every weekend she would arrive at her lonely apartment, lock herself into her room, and cry her eyes out as she buried herself underneath the covers.
"Yeah, whatever," replied Henry, as he waved his goodbye as he kept walking further into his house; a house where once upon a time a happy family used to live.
"Goodbye, Miss Swan," said the brunette, her tone cold and harsh. Regina moved to enter her house, but a warm hand wrapped itself around her wrist. She looked down at the connection of skin and against skin, not wanting to let go just yet. Regina looked up to stare into wide hazel eyes filled with desperation and something else she couldn't place.
"Regina," whispered Emma, taking two steps closer, the comforting heat radiating from the other woman she had missed so much becoming intoxicating, "I know you don't believe me still, but you have to believe me when I say that I didn't do it."
"I'm sorry, but I can't, there's just to much hurt and deception to ever go back," whispered Regina, tugging her arm free as tears started forming in her coffee colored eyes, just like they did every weekend for the past few months. Regina forced herself to turn around, walk inside, and shut the door, a lonesome tear slowly falling down her cheek as she let her head fall backward onto the wooden door with a thud. She held in a sob before she stood straighter and went up to her room and picked up a photo of what used to be their family; a family who stood with radiating smiles as they hugged one another just outside of Granny's. "I just can't," she whispered as she brought the picture up to her lips; she closed her eyes for a few seconds, remembering memory after memory of her now broken family, before she let out a shaky breath and put the picture back on her bedside table. "I just can't."
Cora smiled evilly, glad and excited that her plan to weaken her daughter was working. "Silly girl, love is weakness."
Please review, I would totally love it.
