That Girl, That Boy
By: Nighttime Wish
A/N: I just watched "The Invisible" about a half hour ago. I was so sad about what happened to Annie at the end. I felt that she and Nick should have had a thing going on. This is mostly about their friendship, though through the movie they barely said 50 words directly to each other.
Disclaimer:I don't own anything from "The Invisible"
There was a girl
So filled with hate and anger
So what did she do?
Became a dealer.
There was a young man
With the same sentiments exactly
But could never do anything
'Cause he was the Golden Boy actually.
Recognized by public,
but invisible to each other
Both wanting new lives,
But which would they rather?
A life free of mistakes,
or a life filled with one?
So how could they even think
of being the perfect daughter or son?
Two different lives
but not so different at all
How much would it take
for one of them to fall?
A fit of rage, a bad planned choice
She wished she could hide
But couldn't run from his voice
He watched her
Right there
And then he saw it,
A girl so fair.
Hidden behind lies
fear and hate
But aside that all,
Would she be too late?
His call brought her to him
But now she has left
Just when they saw another
Each feels bereft
She helped him when
no other could do
And in return, her soul had flew
That same young man
Stands with a boy
Who had crept out,
to play with his toy.
They bear a resemblance
but aren't really the same
What must she think?
That comparison's lame
The only one without pretense
we saw each other too late
Couldn't a better hand
be dealt to me by fate?
But sometimes I see her
The girl who pulled me out
Watching her brother
A sweet smile on her mouth
The pendant she gave me
rests warm in my hand
Whenever I glimpse her,
I see another land.
Sometimes she sees me
And our eyes meet
And I'm reminded my gladness
Even if I knew her less than a week.
