Prologue

A half moon glistened in the sky, a young she-cat named Jadeheart meowed hearing the echo. Her family had gotten killed by a enemy clan a Bloodclan. She was the only one who survived. The smell of her family's blood could be scented out from the other side of the forest floor.

"There all gone. What am I supposed to do?" Jadeheart thought.

Hopefully someone heard out her cry just a couple minutes ago.

Jadeheart had no other choice but to leave her home. Her den, the place where she grew up as a kit. It would be so hard for her. She couldn't bear the thought of staying there much longer. The corpses of her brothers and sisters on the ground, and her mother and father on the side of her. It was a bloody battle between her family and the Bloodclan. They where always against her family.

Jadeheart started walking, the cold night wind bristling against her white, and blue fur.

This was only the beginning of the feud between the Bloodclan, and her. They would stop at nothing to get her next. The Bloodclan is a vicious clan, a clan which should've never formed.

Jadeheart tilted her head to the sky, praying to StarClan for help, "Please… give me a sign." Jadeheart muttered, "A sign to know I'm not alone."

Chapter I

The young gray she-cat was stalking her prey, a white rabbit. Jadeheart's stomach growled, the tabby was almost ready to jump and attack it while another cat came in and stole it.

"Hey! What's your problem?!" Jadeheart meowed.

The black tabby looked up and tore off a piece of meat from the rabbit's delicate body, Jadeheart stared at the rabbit, she hadn't eaten in days. Jadeheart wouldn't really call herself a good hunter. The male cat's tail flicked,

"You snooze you loose." he mewed enjoying his rabbit.

Jadeheart's stomach let out another growl.

"It's fine Jadeheart, you can find something else." she thought.

The tabby stared at her, his bright orange eyes stared at her blankly,

"I'm guessing you're not really a good hunter." he meowed finishing off the last bite of his rabbit.

Jadeheart huffed,

"I'm a perfectly good hunter!" she turned her head and spotted a mouse, maybe she could get it. She lifted her legs and pounced. But unfortunately missed it.

"Perfectly good doesn't really seem to fit you." he mocked purring as he walked to her side. His hunger satisfied.

Jadeheart let out a growl from her teeth, giving him a sign telling him to back off, but the male cat wouldn't listen.

"Well. Good luck with your hunting!" he laughed and walked away.

Jadeheart's head shot up, "Wait! What's your name?" Jadeheart asked.

The tabby turned his head back and looked at her, "It's Webclaw. A ShadowClan warrior. Don't forget it." he said proudly, running off deeper into the forest that awaited him.

A ShadowClan warrior? Jadeheart couldn't believe she was face-to-face with one. All her life she's heard stories about the cats of the ShadowClan, none of them where good of course. Her mother always said that they where the ones who challenged the Warrior Code. The ones who where never afraid to fight. Jadeheart didn't know what to do for food. The sun was at the highest point in the sky, at this point, Jadeheart decided to give up and just eat some herb plants, maybe find the one that would help sustain her hunger. If that would be possible.
