Chapter 1: The Start of a New Life
Xylos' POV
The quiet hum of the lights in my lab were beginning to push me over the edge. I had been listening to them since I arrived about 3 hours earlier. I glanced over at my Lucario,Lupan,and my Reuniclus,Cellulos,who had been helping me with my project, an interdimensional portal for people and Pokemon to travel through. Through telepathy, Lupan asked: "How close are we to finishing, Boss?". "Just a few minor tweaks and we should be good!" I replied happily. "Hey Lupan and Xylos,when we finish this portal, are we going to keep it to ourselves?" Cellulos inquired. "Of course not, you fool! We have to show the world this device to better the whole world!" Lupan yelled toward Cellulos with his fist clenched. "Calm down Lupan! We are finished now, but I want to test the machine before we show anybody anything." I said to try to take Lupan's rage off of Cellulos. "Well genius,are you gonna test it?" Lupan asked. "I did just say I would,so…no, I'm not going to test it." I shot back, I was getting tired of Lupan's attitude.
Lupan's POV
Without any more talking, my master, Xylos, stepped into the Teleporter and gave me a thumbs-up sign, to show he wanted me to activate the machine. I did as I was told, flipped the switch, and the machine roared to life. The 3 of us in the room smiled, our invention was working! But, the machine set off its alarm and the power shut off in the lab. I began to panic, because Xylos was still inside and the Teleporter was still running. Both Xylos and Cellulos looked at me wide-eyed and mouths open. Xylos yelled at me "Turn it off,NOW!" I flipped the switch again,but nothing happened. Scared, I flipped the switch on and off, but still nothing happened. The machine activated like it was about to teleport Xylos, and he screamed and grabbed his head,seemingly in pain.
Xylos' POV
I stared at Lupan flipping the switch on and off. I was pretty scared because the machine was still running. I feared that I would be teleported to who knows where or who knows when. Just when I started to hope that the Teleporter wasn't finished, a light shined from the floor like I had set it up to do when it was ready to teleport, and a high-pitched noise coming from all around me. This wasn't anything I planned, and it kinda made my head hurt. I grabbed my head, and the noise didn't stop. I started to scream and I saw Lupan was staring at me.I felt an intense, burning pain all over my body. A white light was all I could see now. Suddenly, everything went black and cold. I felt like something was different about something. I looked around, but I couldn't see anything. I looked at myself and I realized what was wrong. "I turned into a Gallade?" I said out loud.
