Hayashi has an allergic reaction
It was the bottom of the second inning, and it was going to be Tosei's turn to bat when it started to rain heavily. So now the two teams were in their dugouts due to a rain delay. Everyone in the Nishiura dugout was having a great time. Shinooka had packed a really big lunch for everyone, which was originally meant for after the game, but Tajima had started to help himself so soon enough the lunch was unpacked and they were having a big picnic. Shinooka started to cut the lime pie.
"Ooh! Yes please!" Tajima exclaimed as Shinooka handed him a piece. Everyone just sighed, grabbed their piece and began eating. Then all of a sudden Hayashi started to make weird noises. She made a sound as if she was gagging. Everyone looked at her.
"Are you okay, Hayashi?" Abe asked.
"Yeah, I'm fi…" Hayashi started. She made another gagging sound.
"Hayashi? Are you going to be sick or something?" Oki asked.
"No, it's just, um. Shinooka, what's in this pie?" Hayashi asked, pointing at her pie.
"Oh, well uh…" Shinooka stuttered.
"She's worse than Mihashi." Hanai said making Mihashi jump. "Chill man."
"Well, eggs, flour, kiwi, lime…" Shinooka counted on her fingers. Hayashi cut her off.
"Ki-kiwi?" Hayashi started trembling. "You said it was a key lime pie."
"No, I didn't. I said kiwi, lime." Shinooka laughed. "That's what makes it so special."
"That's what's going to kill me." Hayashi said giving a fake smile. "I'm allergic to kiwi."
"No, you're not. You're allergic to peanuts, lobster…"
Masuka was cut off by Hayashi's gagging sound.
"Oh, my god!" Masuka said covering her mouth.
"What? What?" Mihashi started panicking.
"It's definitely getting worse" Hayashi said, though nobody could understand due to her tongue swelling up.
"Is she going to be okay?" Sakaeguchi asked.
"Yeah she just has to get a shot." Masuka said.
Fear suddenly shot through Hayashi. "You know what; actually I think it's going down, uh, anyone up for scrabble?"
"Get your coat!" Coach Momoe boomed.
Hayashi quickly got up. "Yes, ma'am!" She ran around trying to find her coat.
"I'll take her to the doctors." Coach Momoe said.
