You stand there, staring into her emerald green eyes, and feel your heart tear into two as she steps away. She stares back and you watch as sickening realization dawns on her face. She doesn't want to believe it and you're still in denial, because you've been together for years and you were inseparable.
So what happened?
It was Hogwarts, the houses, Potter, and everything that the Wizarding World could offer. They tore you apart slowly and Neither of you realized it until it was too late. This is your fault because you allowed yourself to get swallowed up in Slytherin's bitterness of being an outcast; you allowed yourself to drown into darkness; you allowed yourself to listen to Lucius Malfoy; you allowed yourself to call her a mudblood, when she was trying help. Now she's slipping through your fingers and you don't know what do.
She takes another step away from you and utters the words, "You've changed."
Then she's gone, turning around and running away as fast as she can. The pain you're feeling is very real and can't help but wonder if she was right. Maybe you did and you just never noticed, never attempted to care and now she's gone from your life. What's left are memories and promises that you swore you keep, but you ended up breaking every single last one.
It's your fault, accept it. Accept it and carry, find another girl that'll makes you smile and gets you completely. But you know you can't, you've given away your heart to Lily Evans and she turned and abandoned you.
"No matter what has happened. No matter what you've done. No matter what you will do. I will always love you. I swear it." She said.
Total bullshit.
