Love in a blanket - A winter Wow short tale.
Empresses' POV
Our guild wanted some of us to get some items in Winterspring for the wintertide fest. So I thought on the way it would be good for some of us to come on up together and get some great leather and dragonscales from some of the elites we find so that some of us could make a outerwear and gear. I was thinking on the flight there what would it feel like in Winterspring again all I remember was snow.
When got there...oh how could I forget the precious water that I drink can be sooo ccold and fierce? I was freezing my troll leggins off. It was no short feat I almost put a fire totem down to warm up but didn't. I am a shaman,Kragen is a warrior, Makami is a shaman, Barakis is a shaman, Killians is a hunter and Treskski is a druid. We were in raid on a hunt for some Yetis we took in the landscape of white snow, isicle water dropping from the branches of the tall pines and no green grass in sight. We were on our way to getting one and we were literally treading on thin ice. I had just earth shielded Krager and Makami earth shielded Barakis to get ready for the fight added with Killians and Treskski mark of the wild buffs to keep speed and nature and additional totems to keep us alive I thought what can go wrong...who did some bad vodoo with my name on it?
All I did was put a fire totem on the ice and because there was fish underneath it. The totem decides it was a threat and in one burst the ice was cracked and I went feet first into the water. No one by some junky luck was near me. I got out of the water to heal the others although my speed was cut in half, Kragen and Barakis was choping up and Barakis who was duel wielding was doing suishi with some dragonkin. Killians let his pet get some action as he slid his bow into place and did a critical strike in the heart of the Dragonkin at the same time Treskski is healing Krager, Makami is healing Treskski to take agro and I started to earthshock to prepare to take agro for them. This was not a wise thing to do. I was...foolish, all it took was for one dragonkin to kick me back into the water behind me and I was already freezing my limbs and head was starting to get more numb. Treskski started to group heal everyone my last thought as I was seeing the sparkles go up was wow it was snow backwards.
When I woke up Treskski was comming back to camp with firewood when she saw me she had a sly smile on her face. "Emp" she said "next time you want to go swimming give Mak your skimpy suit" I smiled at her. She then said "the others had gone ahead with the things I figured I'll stay with you untill you feel like moving again". I nodded to agree with her. I was still numb but not as much this blanket felt familliar. I looked down and there was a warmth and security I only get when I am with Makami when he holds me. "Oh yeah" Treskski said "Makami took your blanket and said he has yours (she winked at me) talk about love in a blanket to keep ya warm". I smiled and went back to sleep.
I know it is spring but I wanted to remember this because it was the last time my husband kept his shammy and trade him for a paladin. lol
