The Ooman woman screamed, the sound echoing through the halls of the massive ship. She had been spared only because she was pregnant, and because the serpents had killed the rest of the town. She had survived only because she had hidden in the saferoom of her home. Luckily for her, the leader of the hunting group had found her before destroying the rest of the town. She had stayed on board the ship for the remaining six months of her pregnancy, and died during the birth of the child. The thick air on board the ship had been difficult for the mother to deal with, but the child had developed inside of her, breathing in the thick and slightly toxic air, adapting as it grew so that it could survive in its new environment. A female Yautja that was unable to produce her own offspring due to an injury from a bar fight in her youth took the Ooman child in as her own and raised it with the help of her husband, Cetanu. The child adapted as she aged, the lower gravity on the Yautja home planet allowing her to grow just as quickly as the other children. Her brain developed to memorize just as much as the other children, and she fit in well at her school and got along with the children.
That is, until the next ship came in from the Hunt, and brought with it a Yautja child that had been born during the voyage…
A/N: The next chapter will be longer, and will have dialogue in it explaining what's going on. I watched AVP, and read a Fanfic about Lex going with Scar afterwards, and decided to do my own thing. This isn't a Lex/Scar pairing. Lex WILL be in this, but not until towards the middle/end.
