Snow fell down into her chestnutbrown hair, with her eyes set on the ground she kept on walking. It hadn't been the First time she ran away, but it would be the last, this time she would not return, no matter what it would cost. For a second she looked op at the streetlight above her, captured by the magic of the illuminated snowflakes, she would have been standing there for some time if it hadn't been for the old man that seemed to have appeared out of nowhere. And was now standing almost in front of her. The man was dressed in a long purple cloak, seemingly fit for a Halloween party, and he was looking with quite some interest at her.
" Isn't it somewhat late for a young girl like you to be on the street at this time of night?" he asked her with a kind soft voice.
Her eyes focussed determinedly on the ground again, she didn't think the orphange would ever send such a strange man to go looking for her, then again she didn't think the orphange would notice her going missing at all. Making this conclusion she raised her head again to stare at this extraordinary old man.
The man spoke again, " i wasn't planning on visiting you until the next summer, but figuring you had ran away i decided to talk to you right away."
" Why would you want to talk to me?" She tried not to show any emotion, while in her head reasons and explanations unvolded, the one even more unlikely than the other. Maybe he had answers to her questions, but maybe he didn't.
Dumbledore looked down at the girl, whose face showed no emotions, but whose eyes sparkled, and found himself intrigued. " I'm afraid i'll have to ask you to come back with me to the orphange first, i wouldn't want anything happening to you. Then i shall tell you what i wanted to visit you for."
