"The dawn is breaking
A light shining through
You're barely waking
And I'm tangled up in youYeah"
-Collide by Howie Day
Sunlight broke through James Potter's bedroom window. It hit his eyelids, waking him up. James yawned and tried to move but found that he couldn't.
There was a body next to him, curled up in a ball. It was snuggled against him, rubbing it's cheek into his chest.
James laughed and whispered. "Come on Harry, it's time to get up. You're mom is going to freak out if we won't get into the kitchen soon."
Harry stirred didn't wake up. James sighed and lifted his son into his arms, cradling him like a newborn child. His son had been going through the 'I-can't-leave-mommy-stage'. Lily began to give in and let their son sleep in the bed with them.
James turned the corner and almost crashed into his wife. "Oh good, you're up. Breakfast is ready".
"Yeah, Harry won't wake up though," James said smiling. He leaned down and kissed his wife's cheek.
He lived his life like this everyday. In seclusion with no one but his wife and child. Sure it wasn't spontaneous and he often got bored, but it was enough for him.
The return of LilyJames fluff!
Alright, not up to my normal standards but I'd say it's alright. I was listening to the song Collide by Howie Day and I thought of this.
How many of you thought the person curled up next to James was Lily? Originally it was going to be, but I decided to trick you all and make it Harry. I know it's super short but I have some longer ones in the works. They'll all be out sometime today.
I start eighth grade tomorrow so drabbles won't be as frequent but I'll write as many as I can. That's what science class is for! Ha-ha, yeah I'll probably have twenty written- just none of them will be finished…
