So here we are, getting theast one of the three stories up and running. So this will be similar to how Avengers of Earth 38 begins, the Guardians that got dusted will be the only ones I'll use, but unlike in the other story, they won't have a hostile encounter with other heroes. I also think I left them in very capable hands.
Ch.1 What Do We Do Now?
This was the last thing one John Constantine saw coming. He had four strangers that he didn't recognize were laying on his door step. One was a blonde haired man in a red coat, blue shirt, black pants, red boots, and strange guns that Constantine didn't recognize, and he knows a lot of things.
The three other individuals were even stranger. The biggest one was muscled up and didn't wear a shirt. He was bald, green skinned with red tattoos over his body. He did wear blue and black pants with a silver and black boots. His boots were black and had sheaths that held some large knives.
The next one was a girl, or atleast he believed she was. She had strange antenna like appendages on her head aswell as black hair. She also was wearing a green and black outfit and appeared to have no weapons on her.
Then their was the humanoid tree, not much he can say about the tree. He just looked like he was a teenager, and also he was the first one to stir.
"I... am... Groot." The tree said as he started to wake up.
Constantine just looked on as the tree, who he could conclude was named Groot, started to get on his feet. "So your name is Groot?"
Groot turned to see the blonde man infront of him wearing a trench coat, a red tie, a white collared shirt and dress shoes right in front of him. He didn't seem to be acting hostile towards him, so Groot nodded.
"And who are they?" Constantine asked.
Groot, who wanted to answer but could only say, "I am Groot."
"Yeah, I know your name," Constantine said a little frustrated.
"Don't get frustrated with him," said the voice of the human, who had just woken up, "he doesn't talk good like the rest of us, his vocalistics are 'I' and 'am' and 'Groot'."
The green muscled up man then woke up. "Where are we, Quill?"
"Don't know Drax," Peter said.
Constantine then decided to but in. "You're in England, and infront of my house, so may I ask who in the bloody hell are you?"
"Peter Quill," said the human, "and these are my friends Drax, Mantis, and Groot."
"John Constantine," Constantine replied, "so do you care to explain why you have appeared infront of my house unconscious?"
The next thirty minutes were spent with Peter mostly, with a little input from Drax and Mantis, but they seem to exaggerate at certain spots.
"So let me get this straight," Constantine stated after Peter had finished, "there was a guy name Thanos who wanted to wipe out half the universe, he murdered his daughter, you three teamed up with a guy with spider powers, a sorceror, and a guy in high tech armor, and you fought Thanos, lost, and he won, and you four were casualties?"
"Uh yeah," Peter confirmed.
Drax then added. "It was Quill's fault that Thanos won."
Peter looked at him. "Dude."
"I am Groot?" Groot asked confused.
"He did," Mantis agreed.
"We'll talk about that later," Peter said to the his three friends.
Constantine was about to interject when they all heard a roar and they all turned. "The hell is that!?" Peter exclaimed as they saw what looked like a dragon.
"A bloody problem," Constantine said as he shot fire out towards the demon. On instinct Peter also opened fire, clearly making the demon more angrier and making it dive right at them.
As it dived, Drax drew out his blades. "Die beast!" Drax yelled as he charged the demon and leaped at it, his knives going into the creatures flesh. Groot took advantage and wrapped the demon around with vines.
The demon then started blasting fire, throwing Drax off and into Constantine as the vines wrapped around it broke. It then took to the sky. "Oh no you don't," Peter said as he activated his helmet and flew after the demon, firing at it with his blasters until with an assist from Constantine with a magical barrier, forced the demon back to earth.
Just as Star-Lord landed, he was swapped into the wall of Constantine's house thanks to the demon's tail. It then looked at the magician, brute, and walking tree before it started breathing fire at them.
Constantine then used magic to block the flames as the demon kept the flames coming at him, Drax and Groot. That's when Mantis snuck up to the side of the demon.
"Sleep," Mantis said as her antennas glowed, making the demonic beast fall asleep directly infront of them.
"Why didn't you do that earlier," Peter asked Mantis as his helmut disappeared, revealing his face.
"I was scared," Mantis defended.
"Well," Constantine said before he beheaded the demon, "it's over now."
"I am Groot." Groot commented.
"You all seem like decent blokes," Constantine said as they all looked at the beheaded demon dragon infront of them.
"You're not so bad yourself." Peter replied.
Drax then asked, "What is this?" He motioned towards the now headless demon.
"This here, is a demon." Constantine said as he grabbed a brown bag.
"So what are you going to do with it." Mantis asked.
"Come along, it seems like you have nothing better to do," Constantine said as he place the severed head in the bag.
Seeing why not, Peter decided to ask another question. "Where are we going?" Peter asked as Constantine opened a portal.
The magician looked at him before picking up the bag with the dragon demon in it. "Aruba, I have some acquaintances that might be helpful."
As Constantine walked through the portal, Drax looked at Peter. "I like this man." Peter nodded, finding the man interesting.
"I am Groot," Groot said in agreement as the four Guardians entered the portal.
Probably not the best opening, but I thought it would be good. They met Constantine first, help him fight the demon dragon, and are now off to Aruba to meet the Legends, this shall be fun. Remember, this story is connected to the following: Avengers of Earth 38, Venom in Star City, and The Flash's Phantom. Also, I can't wait to write a conversation between Drax or Groot with Mick.
