Meetings, Dreams and Memories.
A/N
I've
been playing Kingdom Hearts 2 and this popped into my head when I was
trying to sleep. XD So it's not exactly perfect… I'm trying to
level up now so I can beat Sephiroth! He's so awesomely powerful!
But I'm getting sidetracked. XD
Please enjoy! –Bows-
Sora smiles
apologetically up at the other boy, 'Sorry! I gotta watch where I'm
going,' he rubs the back of his head in that bashfully childish
way.
'S'all good, don't worry about it,' Sora holds out
his hand.
'Name's Sora, what about you?' the taller boy
grasps his hand.
'Riku.'
Like a bolt of lightning a
sudden ache throbs through the back of Sora's head, a blurred image
of a boy standing on the shore of an island with his hand
outstretched; waves and darkness ready to consume him.
'Sora…
come with me… don't fear the darkness…'
Sora
rubs his eyes to stop the images and pain.
'You alright?'
Sora
glares up at Riku, confusion etched into his face.
'Yeah… I'm
fine… hey, have I met you before?' the white-haired teen shakes
his head.
'Can't of, I'm new around here,' the younger boy
folds his arms across his chest, frowning some more.
'Uh huh…'
Riku places a hand on Sora's head, grinning from ear to ear.
'All
that thinking looks like it hurts, don't strain yourself now.'
The
older boy winks at the younger. 'Maybe, you can show me
around?'
Sora smiles; insult not even acknowledged.
'Sure!
You gotta meet Selfie – she's alright for a girl – there's
Tidus and Wakka too! We've all been here for years!' the brunette
links his fingers with the other boy's. 'After I've shown you
around, you gotta tell me where you came from! You gotta promise,
okay?'
Riku nods, 'sure thing.'
The early sun begins
to melt with the waves on the horizon, the sky and ocean turning
blood-orange from the rays. Sora looks onto the setting sun and
reaches his hand out.
'You ever notice…' he squints from the
fading light. 'the closer you get to the light…' he turns to
stare at his shadow stretched across the sand. 'The greater your
shadow becomes? … it's kind if scary, aye? Like… there's no
way… we can live without light or dark…'
Riku stares across
the ocean at the setting orange orb '… Ying Yang…' he shrugs.
'Introduce me to your mates,' Sora smiles.
'Okay! Come on!'
They leave together, the only clues for their futures lying in their dreams; the only thing to keep them going on, are their memories to come.
