Tenten groaned as her alarm went off. It was Christmas Day and she did not want to get up, but no that damn Hyuga wanted to train today.
She got out of bed and had a quick shower, put on her clothes, grabbed her weapons, grabbed Neji's present and rushed out of her small apartment and ran to the training grounds.
As she ran to the training grounds, she began to think about her feelings towards Neji. When they were only genin she used to have a crush on him, but thinking it was only a crush she thought she would get over it. However her small crush soon developed into love as she spent more time with him.
She soon saw her training grounds and saw Neji sitting on the ground meditating in the snow.
"Hi Neji," Tenten called as she got nearer to him.
"Hn, your late," Neji said in his monotone voice.
Tenten looked at her watch. She was only 2 minuets late.
"Neji I'm only late by 2 minuets," she replied sighing
"Hn lets train"
They trained for 3-4 hours and then they stopped to have a break. Neji leaned against a tree with his eyes shut and Tenten was lost in her thoughts.
Tenten was just wondering to herself why she had to fall in love with a complete ice cube when she knew very well that he would never return her feelings. Suddenly remembering Neji's Christmas present she pulled it out of her bag and walked over to him.
"Neji I got you a Christmas present," Tenten chirped, pushing it in his hands.
Neji took the silver and red package and looked at it.
"Well, aren't you going to open it?" Tenten asked.
Neji sighed and unwrapped his present and opened the box and picked out the object that was lying in it. It was a kunai with his name engraved on it with the Hyuga symbol.
"Do you like it" Tenten asked.
"Yes, thank you," he said feeling guilty that he didn't have anything for her.
Tenten smiled and they just stood there in silence for 5 minuets. Tenten feeling slightly hurt that he didn't give her anything in return started to walk back to collect her weapons when Neji's strong hands pulled her back and pushed her gently into the tree. She yelped in surprise and stared into Neji's opal eyes. He looked back into her chocolate brown eyes.
"Neji what are you doing?" she asked shivering slightly from the cold as it started to snow.
" Merry Christmas Tenten" Neji murmured and kissed her softly on the lips.
Tenten eyes flew open in shock and gasped but returned the kiss.
When Neji pulled away he was slightly pink but was smirking as he walked.
Tenten stared after him dazed by the kiss, then smiled and touched her lips. This was the best Christmas present she had ever gotten.
