A/N HOUSE OF HADES SPOILERS! Sunshine here guys. This is a songflic based off of one of my favorite new pairings: Caleo. They are perfect. I cannot tell you how much I love them or how much my heart breaks for them. I just thought the song "Dear God" by Avenged Sevenfold was perfect for them. I recommend listening to it while reading this, but you don't have to. I did, and I ended up sobbing like a baby while writing. :P Anyway, enjoy guys!

I'm not Rick.

Water and land pass underneath, country lines blurring together. Where were they? Leo can't remember.

All he knows is that he's miles away from where he's supposed to be. Miles away from who he is supposed to be with.

He can hear her voice sometimes, in the wind. Words they had exchanged floating in the air.

He wonders what she's doing. Gardening? Staring into the distance like he is?

Does she miss him as much as he misses her? Is her heart breaking into one more piece every moment they are apart?

Leo closes his eyes, the pain welling up from deep inside. He grits his teeth and tells himself not to cry.

He has to be strong. He can't let the others know something is wrong. He isn't ready to talk about her.

Not yet. Maybe not ever.

No. He can't think like that. One day he'll be able to talk about her because she'll be there with him.

He will save her. He has to. He can't go on without her much longer.

It feels like his soul has been ripped from his body. Everything that once mattered to him has somehow been left behind.

Stuck on an island with a beautiful tragic girl who smells of cinnamon.

He shakes his head, trying to get rid of the image of her in his mind. He really should think about something else.

But what else is there to think about? He's the only one awake. The others are all sleeping below deck.

He can't sleep. The last time he slept all night was on her island.

Weeks ago.

He's so tired.

Tired of not sleeping, tired of dreaming of her, tired of being away from her.

Leo leans against the wooden rail in front of him, his body shaking. His vision blurs.

He just wants to go back and find her. He knows he's supposed to be saving the world.

But gods, how he wishes he had stayed. Screw the world, he only wants her.

How could he have left her like that? What had he been thinking?

He'd thought it would be ok, but it isn't.

He's lost. He has been lost from the moment he found her.

Leo knows he'll never be the same again. He doesn't want to be the same.

He just wants to be selfish and have her.

He just wants to hold her close and breathe her in.

To have her with him forever. No matter what.

Hot, burning tears slip down his checks, faster and faster.

His shoulders shake and his breath catches in his throat.

His heart is breaking and there is nothing he can do to stop it.

Leo's knees hit the deck with a loud THUMP. It will hurt later, but right now all that hurts is his heart.

He presses his forehead against the steady wood of the ship and sobs. Tomorrow he'll have to pretend like this had never happened.

Pretend like he had never lost control

But right now he just needs a moment to be real. To feel. To cry.

"Please," he whispers through his tears, "Take care of her for me."

He doesn't know who he is praying to. The gods don't care about him.

They're the ones who cursed her to begin with.

God? Leo doesn't know if He exists. But what else is there to do but try?

"Take care of her," he moans.

He wants someone there for her, someone to hold her when she hurts.

She doesn't deserve to cry alone.

He is so tired, so lonely. All he wants is her and she's the only thing he can't have.

Sry it's so short. Maybe I'll write another short for them sometime. Review and let me know what you guys thought! Until next time!
