Qué Será, Será
Warning: huge spoiler here if you haven't read book 11. I saw it coming and am really sad, but it's Darren's book. Oh well.
AN: I wrote this while after reading the tail end and beginning of chapter 17-18 in book 11 "Lord Of The Shadows". Shortly after, I was reviewing a CD when the song I use gave me the inspiration.
They say that ignorance is bliss. That's perhaps the only thing I am ignorant of. To know the future- a gift given me by my father- was never something I enjoyed. Generally, I choose to ignore my ability. And I would get rid of it in a heart-beat.
When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother what will I be
Will I be pretty?
Will I be rich?
Here's what she said to me
Everything dies. It is inevitable. Father and perhaps my dear twin are the only two who will remain constant. As for me, I do my mourning in advance. Many will die and others will survive. Dear friends will be lost forever. Unless they decide to wager a deal.

What does he always say? "The hands of fate keep time on a heart-shaped watch." My time draws near. I have no regrets. If I were to interfere with anything, it would be to protect my performers. There are only two ways the direction of time can go and the outcome will be the same.
When I was just a child in school
I asked my teacher what should I try
Should I paint pictures?
Should I sing songs?
This was her wise reply
Even in death may you be triumphant... That is the motto of the vampires. The lives of those who still live are uncertain for the near future. In the distant? Destruction. The main question is: by whom? You have been given the options, Darren. Your actions are your own. Those who have shaped who you are can only do so much.

Remember what Larten said. Do not let your heart be controlled by anger and revenge. There are many who still look out for you. Just as the Vampaneze Lord has decided, you can disregard my father's prophecies and choose your own path. Perhaps there is a way to change destiny. Not even I, Hibernius Tall, can determine how things will be.

AN: The title of the song I used is called "Que Sera, Sera" and the version I listened too is Pink Martini's. So I really don't care for how it turned out. I got bored and can only drag these things out for so long.
PS: It seems my year off hell in 9th grade never left me. Wergild? Too much Beowulf.
