Author's Notes: This is why it's bad for me to read a wonderfully written fanfic in the morning before I go to school. Ideas come almost instantly! Hmph. And I have an Economics test tomorrow and I haven't reviewed yet! Argh! Anyway, this is my shortest fic and it's MomoRyo! Yahoooooo!!! Finally! I've always wanted to write one. I hope you like this. Please review, ok? ::runs off to study before the tezufuji muse begins to pull her back in front of the PC and hopes she can resist until tomorrow::
Dedication: Reeza, for you once again. Finally for your original OTP. And to think I was listening ShishiTori's Brand New Days while writing this for fifteen minutes.
Disclaimers: Not mine. Not Mine. Not Mine! How many times do you have to rub it in?
Beyond Words
The sun was slowly setting beyond the horizon, coloring the infinite sky with passionate colors. They watched in silence as the waters gradually engulfed the sun – one clutching his bike, the other holding his cap.
They stared in awe at the beauty – the mystery – set before them. It was like watching a movie, hearing words no one could hear but them.
No words… just silence.
A lot of things said without even unsheathing the sword.
And yet…
… Both understood very well what the other was saying.
… Each understood what the other felt.
The sun had finally set and the moon had risen, the stars scintillating in the distance.
They faced each other, looking deep into each others' eyes. And again, words were exchanged through the language of silence.
Amethyst eyes melting in golden ones.
Come back?
Golden orbs drowning in amethyst pools.
I'll take care.
A smile from one, returned by the other. They turn around, each taking a different path. One riding his bicycle, the other putting his cap in place and walking. They go on separate paths without regret, without tears for they know that their paths will once again cross someday.
For in that silence, a promise was made.
A promise of love relayed through a different tongue.
Because for them…
… What they shared was beyond words.
