Warm red velvet silk, cold blue mooned night. A tangle of limbs and heated kisses between the sheets. An evening of innocent hugs and words of comfort have turned into something much, much more.

How would Avatar Aang react? He has fallen in love with Katara when they were venturing together to defeat the past Firelord. What would Mai think? Her and Zuko are yet to be married, but they had rejoined as a couple after Aang defeated his father…what if she found out?

It was bitter thoughts that had not crossed their minds. The curtains blew from the breeze seeping through the window as their bodies moved, dancing to the rhythm of eternal love, becoming forever intertwined in fate. The air was cold, but the room was hot. Steam curled up from the two bodies, a natural cause of the two elements-a forbidden mix, a forbidden love.

But then it was soon over. They both had to depart, not even saying goodbye. What a cruel twist in one's story; confused by love, and stuck in place two people at once. Katara left the very next day, with Aang. They went back to the South Pole, Aang completely oblivious of what had previously happened a few nights before. Being 13 now, it would have been better that he didn't know.

Until two months later, when Zuko received that special letter from the one he spent that secret night with. Mai gave it to him without reading it, which was an odd action from her part; always nosy with his business. But Zuko appreciated it.

When he opened the sweet letter by his missing lover, he gazed at the letters with surprise. His throat closed, and he felt time freeze. Could it be?

Dear Firelord Zuko,

I know I have not written, but I have no received any letters from you, either. Things are going great since our last visit, although Aang hasn't been using his bending much. It's less fun like that…but I figure it isn't needed.

I'm sorry, but I have to make this letter short. I only wrote to tell you something…

My suspicions were right. After two months from last seeing you, and what happened that very night, I discovered…I'm pregnant. I don't know what to tell Aang. He doesn't know of what we did, and he is still a virgin until marriage, as the Air nomads pleaded for long ago. He's going to find out, Zuko…I know he is.

For now, I want to act normal. It's still our little secret, Zuko.

-Katara

Their little secret.
