The pain was too much to bear.

I was walking out of the area I was assigned to, being cautious because it was a war zone, then i'm blown back by what felt like a small train hitting me, then I feel a real sharp pain in my shoulder.

When I looked over to where I was shot, It wasn't a pretty sight. My entire right arm was almost blown off, just barely hanging on a piece of bone. I crudely put my arm back in place, then there were immense waves of pain starting to emerge.

Thankfully, I wasn't losing blood, but I needed to get a medic or else I'd die from an infection. Then, an army humvee started going towards me. I stopped in my tracks. Then 2 soldiers, and 1 medic came out. They were surprised when I told them a .50 cal bullet almost took off my right arm. I was put in the back seat, and the medic started to treat my injury. Then I felt a needle in my left arm.

As I was slowly passed out, I saw somebody walk by the humvee. He looked like...John. I couldn't say anything as passed out.
