A flower from under the heel
Her Sailor Suit was perfect. Not just certain parts put together for wearing and moving around – it was another part of her body, manifestation of her existence as a Senshi. And now it became the last thing reminding her of being herself and not another lifeless shred of their tortured planet. She forgot when was the last time she undid her transformation, afraid of falling into parts without the red fabric which seemed to hold her together. It always completed her, demonstrating the way her life as Senshi went. Especially now.
New parts added to the usual ones. Red. Red and more red. Mashed, sticky and dripping red. A trail of scrapes on her temple with crimson beads standing out and drying to dark brown crust after being wiped away. A mass of burnt flesh and clotted blood in the shadow of the torn sleeve. The long gash on her trembling hand trickling down with red… Everything.
The flower of her Sailor fuku was withering away, ever so elegant. It was the very time to perish. She didn't want to – and doing so, chose the most appropriate behavior for completing her life.
Denial. Battle. Burning out. Crushed under the heels of her foes, the vibrant petals fading to dust. The immeasurable beauty of torn and battered flesh, no longer holding the fiery spirit, now shattered and clawed to shreds with blood-dripping nails.
Breathtaking.
Glorious.
Just perfect.
