Border Wars

All in the Union know the name of "krill,"

These aliens, these monsters, marauders.

Ever encroaching on Union space,

Pressing ever deeper through our borders.

We look to the skies, to the fleet for salvation,

But the fleet's actions we all do bemoan.

More and more ships are sent out to the black,

Planets and stars sent to roam.

They say that they do not want war with the krill,

But even now, this fight's at our door.

The krill think we're thralls, to serve them at will,

But what does our Union stand for?

We now see the truth, that we're all alone,

That the Union has run from this fight.

So long are the days as we weather the storm,

And in fear we see the stars at night.
