Darkness had fallen over Cortex Castle, the full moon lit up the otherwise black sky and the sounds of wild animals echoed through the jungle. Beeping from one of the castle rooms could be heard along with the clicking of keys on a keyboard, followed by a yell of annoyance.
"This is taking forever!" Neo Cortex yelled, slamming his fist down next to the keyboard of his giant supercomputer.
Ever since the castle had been rebuilt, he had to reprogram his computer on his own seeing as his robotic lab assistant minions had all been destroyed and were still being repaired. He was currently frustrated with the fact that he had to go through many different specimens to re-enter data of his minions and enemies that he had either encountered or created in his lifetime. The samples that were currently being scanned were three different furs that he had found while the castle was being rebuilt, the process was taking so long due to one of the samples being bloody from the fight that had occurred.

It was like the other times before: good against evil. This time, though, Cortex had set up a new fight against a new minion: a blood-red furred female bandicoot with ice blue eyes and sandy blonde hair, she was trained in the way of the ninja and was actually immune to snake venom. Her name...Cassidy.
Unfortunately, Crash managed to defeat Cassidy. She had switched sides after the fight with Crash, tired of the constant abuse from the villain team. As she attempted to leave, a bloodier fight occurred as multiple participants from both sides clashed. It was one of the worst fights to be recorded, a few of the villains were still unconscious from blood loss.

"Scan complete." Echoed a robotic voice from the computer.
Cortex looked at the computer screen and looked slightly more agitated than before. The fur he had found belonged to the family of three bandicoots he had come to hate the most. This was all part of the plan, though he didn't expect to find these just yet and was hoping to get started on the experiment the next day. Wasting no time, he grabbed the vials that contained the fur samples and rushed to another part of the lab where some strange looking containment units had been built. These 'tanks' were filled with a strange concoction created by Nitrous Brio, who made the liquid as a way to clone the villains in case of an emergency, but Cortex had other plans. He placed one of the fur samples in each of the three containment units and went back to his computer, typing something in before his computer spoke again.
"Cloning process activated. Estimated time: one week."
