A/n: So here's a little one shot based on a conversation with my dad. I decided to write it in Hetalia after some thought so Please enjoy and ROLL TIDE! (See if you catch the Pokemon referance!)

As a little America and England sat out on the grass in front of there house in America, star gazing when little America asked quietly, "England? Why do people wish on stars?"

"Well America, stars are dependable. They don't ever move and you can always find them. Just look up."

"But if the sun is a star, why don't we wish on it?" America asked, cuddling closer to England and leaning on him. England smiled down at the little boy and hugged him.

"Well, the sun is the most important star, there for it is to busy to take care of things like wishes and dreams of mortal humans." England looked over at America to see him almost asleep. "Now, I think its time for little boys to go to sleep. What do you think?"

"But England! Your going back tomorrow! You said I could stay up late tonight!"

"You've already stayed up well past your bed time and if you want to see me off tomorrow, you've got to go to bed right now."

"Alright. I'll go to bed." America finally gives in as England picked him up and carried him in to tuck him in. Egland looked back at the stars and made a wish, for him to always feel like this.

As Northern Italy looked out the window, Hungary noticed and asked him,"Italy, what's on your mind?" She stopped sweeping and sat down next to him.

"Miss Hungary, How come people wish on Stars but not on clouds?" Italy asked looking up at the heavens above to see clouds covering his beloved moon. Hungary looked up as well and answered,

"Well, because stars are constant. You know what season they'll be in and where they appear. Clouds are the exact opposite."

"But clouds can carry your dreams and wishes inside of them and then rain them down on someone who can bring them home."

"But clouds aren't reliable. They'd rather play and float then be held down with an important task such as delivering wishes." Hungary tried to reason, releasing why this question had popped into little Italy's head.

"Well Stars are irresponsible too. There always twinkling and having fun. And even stars die. Clouds disappear but they always come back." Italy said looking up into Hungary's brown eyes with hope shining in them. Hungary smiled at him and pulled him into a tight hug, having nothing else to say, and they spent the rest of the night staring and wishing on clouds.

"Papa?" a young Canada asked France one night as he was being tucked in.

"Yes, Matthieu?"

"Why don't people wish on the moon? I mean It's always there It's more serious that stars, and always there unlike stars who change by the season." He hugged his Poler Bear tight as France thought about his answer.

"Oh swear not by the moon, the fickle moon, the inconstant moon, that monthly changes in her circle orb." France replied regally.

asked,"What?" and Canada bore and equally confused look.

"Never mind. The Main idea is that the moon is an inconsistent fickle thing, ever growing and shrinking into nothingness. Sure its serious but what fun is being serious all the time?"

"You would get more done that way." Canada pointed out. "

"Yes but it disappears once a month."

"No it doesn't. Even though it disappears you still know in your heart its still there, and believing its still strengths your soul and it helps you wish stronger."

"I guess your right on this one. Now Bonne Nuit mon Enfant." He kissed Canada and Mr. Kumajirou good night.

"Père bonne nuit!" Canada replied, snuggling deep into his covers but opening his eyes a sliver to wish once more on the moon.
