"You'll miss me you know." She tugs at a lock of her raven colored hair. The contrast between her pale fingers and the sheer blackness of her locks catches his eyes. "I will. But it's for the best." He pauses to study her face "You know that right?".

The silence that follows causes the young man to think that she doesn't but before he can explain, again, her voice breaks the tension – "I do. We're not right for each other. At least not now but –" a train whistle drowns the rest of her sentence out and all he can see is her lips move. Pronouncing each word carefully. "—someday. I still love you." She all but yells it as the train rolls to a stop beside them.

His eyes, usually so cold soften and he can feel his heart tug and tare. "I know. I do too" All he wants is to hold her, to tell her its alright and they'll work through it all, but he knows its not the time. Like she said, they just aren't right for each other. He's a young commander at the start of his career in a field she all but loathes. She's still the rebellious angel he had been assigned to guard as she tried to peacefully speak with Deling only 3 short years ago. So much had changed between them, yet the most important things had stayed the same. He still believed war as the only way to get results, and she believed in a more peaceful approach.

Yet that is why he loved her. "You'll miss your train" The warning whistles had just blown and the remaining passengers scrambled to get on before it pulled away from the station. They had already kissed good-bye at her dorm room, as well as in the car before they had made their way to the platform. She had told him she didn't want a big sappy good-bye in front of strangers and he agreed. Though he knew she had said that for his sake, being the private person that she knew he was.

"I'll write, and call!" she smiles, tears in her eyes as she turns toward the train.

"You promise?" he smirks and she turns to nod her head, one foot on the train as she rests her hand on the handle.

"I'll be waiting" he whispers as she steps in, the doors slide shut to block her form his view.
