"The city has fallen. Megatronus and his followers have taken the bridge and the west tower. We're too late..."
What was once a metropolis of wonder and glimmer were now flaming ruins. Miles away, the smoke could be seen, the cries of it's citizens drowned out by the exchanging fire of weapons. It's people now split into two factions.
The new Prime gazed upon the miles of destruction, their planet now an entire battlefield. Ordinary citizens were forced into the life of a solider, carrying a gun with them at all times. Optimus never believed that Megatronus would resort to something this drastic. He should have seen the former gladiator was slowly building an army. An army that would over throw the Council, the entire planet and their way of life. The signs were obvious, but not even the Honor Guard stepped in to prevent such destruction before it was too late.
He didn't have the strength to step in. Megatronus was his friend. He was the one who got him this far into the political arena in the first place. Megatronus had wonderful plans and ideas to change Cybertron to a new age, though some of his methods were too extreme. Once he saw his optics turn from blue to red... that was when he realized he lost his way.
No matter how long it took, he would wait. He would wait until the day the friend he knew came back, and the Cybertronian race will be one once more. Until Cybertron was whole and complete again, he would wait that long for its peace, and he would keep fighting for it.
Rumor has it, Megatronus changed his name once again. He was brave enough to name himself after one of the thirteen original Primes, though to utter the new name gave shivers down one's spine.
His new name will mark his tyranny, even beyond the end of his days.
