I floated around the mist, hoping for someone just to jump out at me. I tightly grip my bucket of worms. Then I hear a few steps...I hide behind the rock, peering at the figure. Then I see it's only one of my own folks. My excitement drops. "Dear, don't hide," said the light voice, "It is your 500th birthday. You must attend a school soon. Why don't a introduce you to one?"
School? I've always been excited for school. They say we can fight off monsters and learn new pranks. I've always been jealous of the matured pixies! They're just...extraodinary. My face lit up.
"My child, this is a diverse, exceptional school. All kinds of species attend," she proudly announced. I raised my eyebrows. All species? Then she questioned, "Want to join?" I nodded nervously, as she took my hand. The we flew away.
"You're there," a voice said, shaking me. I opened two pairs of droopy eyes. OH. That woman was there...now I remembered. I must have fallen asleep! I squirmed uncomfortably. "Huh?" I murmured. "This is the place. The school I was talking about," she replied.
My eyes widened. "This..is...it?" I said, not expecting an answer. So many people, and so much bigger, too! I touched the cold marble floor. "Now, here, here," the lady said, placing me on a huge bed. Then she left, leaving me all alone in the giant room. I've known pixies were smaller than other monsters, however, shrugged it off.
I inhaled in and out. What should I do? What's out there? What are all these people? It was time to explore.
