As the sand beneath Sakura's feet began to disperse, she ran as fast as the wind could take her. She ran faster and faster to catch up with a man with a white cloak around him. He had on a triangular hat that covered his face. The hat had white drapes flailing into the wind.

The man turned around and his sea foam eyes met those of an emerald. He smiled a little bit and tilted his head a little.

"Gaara-san!" shouted Sakura.

The man, Gaara, responded to the shout and welcomed Sakura into his arms. Sakura smiled and embraced him. She felt a sense of warmth and protection within his embrace.

"Sakura..." he said with such hidden love. Sakura smiled and looked up to meet the eyes of the man renowned as Kazekage. Gaara's eyes were so kind. It was if a storm had been brushed away by the pink hairs flowing freely.

"Sakura," he said, wanting to ask something, "Do you want to come with me back to Konoha? It is about time you should be getting back."

The only reason Sakura was in Suna was because Gaara sent a request to the Hokage Tsunade saying they needed a medic-nin to check the hospital, making sure that everything was going alright. She sent Sakura, because she was the only one who was able to do the mission.

Sakura's face faltered. She knew that this would eventually come. Leaving Suna meant that she would never be with Gaara. The pink-haired blossom would be working and she would be miles away from him. She would be so alone. She hugged Gaara a little tighter, not wanting to be away.

"But," she whimpered, "I would be away from you! I don't want to be away from you!"

Salty tears were starting to stream down her face. She was so scared and sad that she would have to leave someone she loved so dearly. She did not want to be alone.

She didn't want to be alone again

"I love you Gaara!"

Gaara was suprised beyond belief. This was the first time that anyone of any kind had said those words to him. He smiled, smiled that was so warm.

Gaara's thoughts were buzzing through his head. He was wondering what to say to her. Over the time Sakura was here, he was starting to feel fluttering in his chests, before he knew it, he was starting to love her more than he could say in words.

"I love you, Sakura," he replied, kissing her on the forehead, "More than you can imagine."

"But why do I have to go?" said the green eyed woman, looking at Gaara with whimpering eyes, remains of tears showing.

Gaara brought Sakura closer to his heart. Sakura could hear the thumping of his beating heart. It was beating with a beat that was comforting to her.

"You can stay here," said Gaara, "With me. We can live together and have a family. Does that sound good to you?"

Sakura smiled into his chest.

"That sounds wonderful, Gaara, I want to do that, that would be me one and only thought right now."
