Chapter 1- Trouble in Paradise

Mario sat on the beach, sipping a drink a she watched the sunset. Bowser had once again been vanquished,
and now all that there was left to do was sit around and bask in glory. But he had a feeling that someone was
behind him, watching him intently. That's what those stupid psychologists said would happen from your
fighting, Mario. a voice came out at him, ringing in his ears as he felt the waves lapping at his toes. Mario
hadn't been able to figure out why those psychologists had been so spiteful. Jealosy? Probably. Mario had
a lot people would be jealous of. Or at least he said that. Mario had wuite an ego, and the truth may have been
that the so-called crazy psychologists had been right.
Mario chose to ignore the fact that the thought of people watching him continued to eat away at his
brain and continued to ignore it. But suddenly, like a whip, thoughts pushed through his mind like a train.
They hate you. They're plotting against you. You're a marked man!
The now fear-filled plumber sat up and pushed the thoughts out of his mind. Stupid ideas, anyway.
Bad things don't happen to good people, do they? Mario was shocked at the thought and kicked it out of
his mind. What a stupid idea! But the reassurance didn't stop all of his fear, because Mario had the
inkling it was true...
