A parting

Serena walks the long hallway down to Yuri's room. She encountered a couple of students on her way who bowed to her - of course - she has a much higher position than them. She knocks on the door. There isn't any answer so she just enters the room – after all she knocked before.

Yuri is sitting on his bed and is reading manga. Serena rolls her eyes because Yuri usually only reads shoujo manga which she absolutely hates; she can't stand all that ridiculous romance stuff and Yuri reads it all day when he doesn't get any tasks assigned.

'Hey idiot. Are your stupid manga so exciting that yo can't even hear when somebody knocks on your door?!'

Yuri looks up and frowns: 'First of all I didn't allowed you to enter my room. And what do you want? And hurry up I want to read on.'

The girl sighs: 'You really are a pain. Do you know that? Anyways I'm leaving, I got a mission to check something in the standart dimension out – I just wanted to let you know.'

'No way! The Professor assigned me to go there so why do you have to go too! Everyone knows I'm a way better duelist than you - so why bother and sending you when they have me?!'

Serena approaches Yuri and snatches his manga and hits him with the book.

'What are you doing idiot?! Give me my damn manga back! If you're going to break it I will -'

'Here' Serena chuckles and gives the manga back 'You know exactly that we're on the same level. Besides I have won the last two duels.'

'Don't remind me of that … But I'm still better' the male answers.

'Whatever' the bluenette replies 'I have to leave now.'

'Take care of yourself' Yuri smiles lightly.

'You don't need to be worried about me. There's no way I'm going to lose and furthermore I won't go alone' she says before she left the room.

Yuri opens his manga – he was at the third chapter as Serena interrupted. He reads a couple of pages before he lays it aside.

'I don't feel like reading now' he mutters and stays up to get his deck. He looks though it and makes some changes. 'I really hope she's going to be okay … And if something happens to her I will make sure to be by her side.'
