Jenny walked back into her house, ready to collapse on her bed and forget that the whole day had ever happened. But before she could reach the stairs, Nora caught sight of her dented, battered daughter.

"XJ9, what happened to you?" She asked. Jenny cursed to herself for forgetting to sneak past her mother on her way to her room. She didn't want to explain the whole ordeal to her mother, it was all too embarrassing.

"I don't wanna talk about it…" She muttered with folded arms as she moved along to the stairs.

"XJ9, sit down and tell me what happened while I fix you up. Now." Nora demanded. Jenny sighed and followed her mother to the lab in the basement so she could be repaired.

"Well, it's kind of a long story…" Jenny started, proceeding to explain Dr. Locus, his crazy schemes and his android daughter.

"And Melody came back today to be with Brad and…well, I don't know why, but I just knew she was up to no good…so I kept an eye on her and one thing led to another and we ended up getting into a little…brawl." Jenny explained. Nora smirked as she smoothed out Jenny's dents.

"Sounds to me like you were just jealous." She commented.

"Why does everyone think that? I'm not jealous! That's crazy, why would I be jealous?" Jenny exclaimed, standing quickly.

"Because you like him and you were jealous that he likes Melody?" Nora offered, noticing Jenny's instant blushing.

"I do NOT! That's crazy, that's stupid! It's a lie!" Jenny exclaimed, suddenly running off to her room. As she looked out her window and over to her friend's house next door, she let out a deep sigh.

"It's true…" She muttered under her breath as she rested her head in her arms, which were resting on her window sill.

Her train of thought was quickly interrupted by a knock on her door, followed by Nora's entrance.

"XJ9, I understand you've had a rough day, but I really do need to fix you up now. I promise, I won't talk about it anymore." Nora explained as she sat on Jenny's bed, patting beside her as a silent sign for Jenny to sit down next to her. Jenny sat down on her bed, letting out another sigh.

"Rough doesn't begin to explain it." Jenny said. "Let's just fix me so I can go to bed." Jenny said miserably as she followed her mother back down to the lab to sit in silence as her dents and scorch marks could be repaired.

About two hours later, Jenny shuffled herself back into her bed, proceeding to lay awake staring at the ceiling. Why had she gotten so jealous? She and Brad were meant to be just friends…right? There was nothing more there than that- just friendship.

After today, however, that was harder to believe than it normally had been for the young robot. Once she had seen Brad so smitten with Melody…she didn't know what it was, but it triggered a feeling inside her that she hadn't felt before. It was a sort of rage, some sort of fury…why did she take such distaste to Melody? After all, she was just a fellow robot looking to blend in with humans. So why did they disagree so much?

Jenny didn't want to believe it, but she knew there was no other explanation than pure, uncontrollable jealousy. She hated to admit it, but anyone who had told her today that she was just jealous was right.

I hate emotions. Why couldn't I have been programmed without them?

Jenny decided to switch into sleep mode in an attempt to forget about the whole day and the newfound fact that no matter how much she denied it, she was truly in love with her best friend.

SOOO funny story…I really didn't know how to end this so I ended it in this weirdo spot :P yeah, sorry it's short…it was a short thought. Inspired by the episode 'No Harmony with Melody'…XP review?
